    D&D 5E (2024) Who has sign language?

That would be interesting, especially if dwarves can develop tremorsense. (Which they can, in this edition?)

    D&D 5E (2024) Who has sign language?

Plenty of deaf actors speak intelligibly. If the patterns of sound is important to channeling and shaping magic, then coaching and practice should suffice. A deaf practitioner may even make discoveries that show that certain modulating tones are what is important, and that words in cadence are...

Goodman Games: Our Efforts Have Been Mischaracterized

Well, I would say goodwill rather than good publicity. I completely agree on the lack of foresight. They are certainly taking s ome bad publicity on the chin. However, they are potentially helping a few hundred people get back an investment that didn't pan out. That counts for goodwill, I would...

Goodman Games: Our Efforts Have Been Mischaracterized

Fair point on goodwill. I dont understand why anyone would give credit to Bledsaw for not solving a problem. But people confuse me.

Goodman Games: Our Efforts Have Been Mischaracterized

I disagree in that it's not Bledsaw gaining good will. He's not paying the debt, Goodman is. If anyone would gain gratitude it would be Goodman.

D&D 5E (2014) Battlemaster and Superiority Dice are causing martials to suffer.

I'd did something like that. Everyone can trip, for example. If you hit you force someone to make a check to remain standing. A fighter trained in tripping others forces the trip check, does minimum damage, and can sacrifice a portion of their attack bonus as a penalty to the trip save.

Would ACKS be a good fit to capture the BECMI-feel?

ACKS is a solid game with interesting domain play aspects. However, for OSR or BXCMI style play I prefer Old School Essentials by Necrotic Gmome. I prefer it's interpretation of BX.

    Do You Care About Cosmology?

I prefer it being there, but there needs to have some effect, either mechanically, socially, &c.

Goodman Games: Our Efforts Have Been Mischaracterized

Yeah, I have the original with the various supplements, and the Necromancer Games version. I think it's an interesting setting. Given how GG enhances the OAR series, I was thinking about it as I don't think this gives Bledsaw a meaningful platform. But damn, man, why pick the project back up...

Goodman Games: Our Efforts Have Been Mischaracterized

I can imagine he's a little tired of explaining himself. Brought it on himself, but, yeah.

    "Unforced error" rings true.

Goodman Games: Our Efforts Have Been Mischaracterized

Okay. I would think that the worst case would be breaking the contract would trigger a fee payable directly to the Bledsaws for lost sales. But, I'm not a lawyer. I'm just trying to make sense of it. Maybe. Doesn't feel right to me, but maybe he is.

Goodman Games: Our Efforts Have Been Mischaracterized

LOL Yes. If people acted rationally even most of the time I would be out of a job.

Goodman Games: Our Efforts Have Been Mischaracterized

The only thing I can think of is a silence clause. He's not saying that his hand is forced because he's not allowed. I don't expect that we'll find out more about it, either. When the contract is completed by delivering the product, maybe. My read of Joe leads me to come up with some sort of...

D&D General Liquids in Bag of Holding or Portable Hole?

I've had them be in a neutral state, as you say, until the bag is opened. This usually isn't an issue unless you open the bag underwater. Makes a big difference with a portable hole, especially if you build shelving inside. Then it matters if you open it on the ground or a wall.

Goodman Games: Our Efforts Have Been Mischaracterized

This is what I think. Things blew up, Joe and Jennell had their public declaration, and then the Bledsaws called up Joe a year or two later and pointed out some unfortunate kill clauses in the contract. This situation satisfies the contract. That's my supposition, anyway. So make your claims...

True. But, currently he is a master mason. For now.

TSR The Full & Glorious History of NuTSR

As for as "rank" goes, there's Master Mason (You've learned the basics.) Worshipful Brother (Ran a lodge for a term. Much respect granted for your duck / cat wrangling service.) District Deputy (You are the delegate to a group of lodges speaking for the state's Grand Master. You drive a lot.)...

Lack of proper vetting, or he joined before his run. Yes, I'm sure. Ear to the ground. Or, stone, perhaps. That's... not that difficult. Being a Master Mason and then running a lodge for a year gets you there, pretty much. Not that he has run a lodge, mind you.

TSR The Full & Glorious History of NuTSR

The Grand Lodge of Freemasonry of North Carolina is investigating a certain someone for conduct unbecoming a Mason. Expulsion from the fraternity is on the table.
