buzz: I will not be running RPG.net Gamedays anymore. I do keep in touch with some of the people there and will be promoting the day on their boards. Unless someone else decides to organize the Gamedays for RPG.net, however, there will be nothing official - I'm all about the ENWorld Gamedays...

Are the sample CoC adventures any good?

Games Plus had it last time I checked and does mail order. Noble Knight is a good online company, as already mentioned. Definitely keep us posted as to your campaign! Later, Matt

Are the sample CoC adventures any good?

"The End of Paradise" is a nice mixture of scripted and open adventuring with a pretty creepy ending. I haven't tried the other one. Monte's adventure from Game Trade should be available on his site. Make sure to pick up Chaosium's Gamemaster Pack. Not only does it have the obligatory (and...

Chicago Gameday Future FAQ For those who missed the surprise announcement of the season, Mark Clover is retiring from running Gamedays and has handed the reigns over to me. Thanks for the heads-up, buddy!!! ;) Seriously, I am excitied to help continue what Mark has started. I love the...

Thank you again, CoC players - I had managed to block out Dude's 30 Cthulhu Mythos roll. It was the first time I had run CoC since the last Gameday, so I'm glad some of you had fun. Maybe I'll even run CoC instead of Synnibarr next Gameday :) If I do, however, I may limit it to four players...

Sweet. :) Seriously, thanks. It was a pleasure to run for you guys. If I do run CoC again at the next Gameday, the real challange will be bringing some of the same characters back if anyone signs up again. buzz's "dude" is a given because of the sheer ridiculousness of his bad life and I'd...

Another Gameday down - woo hoo!!!! First off thank you everyone who came out to run, play, or just see what was going on. These Gamedays are for you and I love to see you take advantage of them! I only wish I had more time to hang out and chat with all of you. Thank you to Curt and everyone...

Re: Re: Re: MattyHelms' Call of Cthulhu game Well, all my notes from that last adventure have been lost somewhere in my move. I can get a similar character to the one you played, though :) Later, Matt

Re: MattyHelms' Call of Cthulhu game Barendd and Quickbeam - Cool - I hope to have a good variety of pre-generated characters to choose from. Buzz - Will you be playing your character from the last Gameday? See you Saturday! Later, Matt

No problem. Call of Cthulhu's largely about ordinary people encountering mind-blasting things, so ignorance of the game is a plus in my book. I should have a good variety of characters to choose from on the Gameday, or let me know if there's a particular kind of character you want to play...

Cthulhu's main rule difference from other d20 games is its Sanity rules, which are quickly explained and grasped. As I mentioned over on the RPG.net thread, I love havin' me some new blood in a Cthulhu game. Later, Matt

OK, my Call of Cthulhu game now has a title and that's all the additional synopsis information you players are going to get - "CROATOAN". I also suppose I will take more than four players, but six is the absolute limit before my GM skills REALLY start to break down. I will also have Zombies...

Barendd - You missed my Cthulhu game from the last Gameday. One character spent most of the game in a catatonic stupor, another got killed by a swarm of rats, one fell / lept to his death from a pile of crates, Deep Ones were dispatched courtesy a 1976 Chevy Citation, and no one walked away...

Mark: I'm going to show up for breakfast this time; please sign me up for that. I'm playing in the Buffy game from RPG.net's schedule in the morning, but am still not sure what I'm doing in the afternoon. I may end up running another Cthulhu game if there's some interest. Thanks, Matt

As announced over on the RPG.net Gameday thread, Ron Edwards will be attending once again. At the last RPG.net Gameday, he ran a dual Sorcerer and Hero Wars session. There's still hope there will be some Hero Wars for ya. Later, Matt

Actually, since I'm seeing some great ideas, I'm appending my wishes! Building off of Curt's and Buzz's suggestions, I'd love to play a FUDGE-powered (or even Fuzion) game of swashbuckling adventure, with sky pirates / treasure hunters in a world of magic, high adventure, and lost technology...
