THe RPG book you've waited for is going to be a PDF only release, do you buy?

I buy PDF's all the time, and see no reason to stop now. If I decide I want a hardcopy, that's what PrintFu is for.

Where do you prefer to do your roleplaying? (Online vs. Tabletop)

Hanging out and socializing with my friends is a big part of the appeal for me. I have zero interest in playing online in any form.

Do You Sometimes Purchase RPG Books Just To Read (Not For Play Purposes)?

All the time, although I rationalize by telling myself, "Hmm... I might want to use this for reference sometime!" About 20 or 30 GURPS sourcebooks alone made their way into my collection like that.

PDFs - where do you buy yours?

If it's an option, I try to buy direct from the publisher. Otherwise, RPGNow exclusively. Phil Reed mentioned over on RPGNet the other day that he'd had trouble - i.e., not getting any money for his sales - from DBB, so I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Mutants & Masterminds: Newbie hero creation question

You are, and you're right, it probably should have been reworded. Where it says, "Your hero's total Fortitude, Reflex, and Will save modifiers", it means, "Your total Fortitude, your total Reflex, and your total Will save modifiers", not "The total of all three". One that a lot of folks miss...

Looking for a good mapping program.

It runs all right on my laptop, but nowhere near as fast as... well, just about any other drawing/mapping program I have.

Do You Prefer 4 Or More Players (+ DM) When RPGing?

Three players is the sweet spot for me.

Looking for a good mapping program.

With the last couple of patches, Dundjinni's speed has been much improved, but is still not great.

Looking for a good mapping program.

I've got a collection of maps and a note indicating what program(s) I used for them here.

    Printing & Binding PDFs

I've got a small stack of PDF's I've had printed out at PrintFu.org (I'm usually content with just the plain ol' PDF, but some of 'em are just so darn pretty I want a hardcopy!) and they're dandy. Cheap, quick turnaround and delivery, good quality all around.

What Fonts Are Used in D20 Publishing?

Acrobat Reader performs this function just as jinx outlined, i.e., go to File > Document Properties > Fonts.

    What is "The Forge?"

This one sentence pretty well sums up my real beef with the Forge. I think discussing RPG theory is nifty, but I do think some folks have a tendency to try and put a dress on the pig and call it a prom date.

    rules or world first?

The folks who just really want the setting and aren't planning on using the rules will say, "Setting first!" The folks who don't care about the setting, but just want to use the rules material, will say, "Rules first!" With those two groups, you're going to be screwed one way or the other...

The Lamination of the GM Screen

I'm smart enough to figure out HOW to construct a lot of things, but I rarely have the time or inclination to actually do it when I can pay a few bucks and let someone else do it for me. Of course, I GM with a laptop which cost a hell of a lot more than $25.

The Lamination of the GM Screen

You might also try a customizeable screen like this one: http://www.peginc.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=S&Product_Code=1CGS&Category_Code=C04 They're very durable, and you can swap out the inserts for whatever game you're running.

Do you keep strict track of the date in your game world?

I've run a couple of games where the date and the passage of time in general was important, and in those cases I tracked it. Otherwise, I don't worry about it.

Optional rules, toolkits, and other rule goodness

Well, there's always the (pimpity-pimp-pimp) Core Elements Toolbox... :D

Pang of nostalgia for "light" stat blocks

A stat block is a map. A map is not the territory. Which is to say, it takes more than a stat block - large or small - to create a memorable character or challenge. But there's nothing wrong with group A wanting a interactive GPS map and group B being satisfied with a couple of "turn left at...

Looking for a nastier version of a Carrion Crawler

I have no idea, but it's nowhere near as funny if you leave the "ass-less" out of the description.
