    Which ranged weapon(s) do(es) your D&D character(s) use?

If you are a halfling, try darts. Nice and light and do damage comparable to daggers! But my halfling dart-thrower isn't my current character. My new character is a sea-storm cleric who tosses a trident.

Thanks for putting the issue number on that one. I remember that article well. Now I have to go find a copy of it!

Tell me about strange weapons in your world!

I'm a big fan of the orcish shotput (from Sword & Fist) with its nice damage (2d4 I think) and great crit-multiplier (x3 or x4). Not bad for a throwing bludgeoning weapon that gets strength bonus to damage! The range stinks, but the thought of skull-sized iron balls raining down on a band of...

    Sovereign Stone

I have the Sovereign Stone "monster manual" and really like it. The creatures in it are less alien/magic-based and more "natural history"-based, which I kind of liked. The art wasn't to my liking though.

    Best non-dungeon scenario?

Check out Dungeon magazine's "Tameraut's Fate" (No. 106?) and "The Stink" (No. 105) are both good adventures. Another one, whose name I can't remember, centered around a circus-like sideshow parked outside a city. It may have been called "The Devil Box."

If you don't use mini's for NPC's, what do you use?

THIS IS YOUR SOLUTION! Our group uses these "counting/alphabet chips" we bought at Wal-Mart. These things are absolutely great. They are white 1-inch by 1-inch plastic tiles with a screen-printed black letter or number on them. You can buy 88 in a bag for something like a $1.99! Even better, If...

What are the least-used skills in D&D?

The best way to use Profession is to use it between adventures. When you're stuck waiting 2 weeks for your wizard (or a hireling) to whip up some magic items, you tell the DM, "I'm going to use my Profession (Teamster) skill for these two weeks, and work at the local docks." You make a roll and...

Help me with my homebrew/Myth Adventures adaption!

For this campaign, I'd wipe out Clerics and Sorcerers (Maybe Druids too). In these books, as someone mentioned above, there are no natural magic-users ala sorcerers. I don't seem to remember any "miracle" like spell casting where people do healing and such. In their place, you might consider a...

    Cleric skills

A DM could allow them to pick an additional class skill based on their domains: For example, a character with the water domain would get the swimming skill. A person with the animal domain could get handle animal. You might have to do some creative thinking for more enveloping domains (like...

    Interesting Objects to Animate?

Sewing needles. (They're real pricks!) Hot Coals from a fireplace. (Fire damage and slam damage) Food, just prior to being eaten. (Sure it would take some initial damage from being chewed but then it would deliver Slam damage from inside!)

Tell me about Loxo in your World:)

I really like Loxos, but I'm partial to any creature who has its design roots in a real-world animal. Aside from that, They have an interesting concept behind them. I don't have books in front of me, but they are the elephants with rage abilities, right?

    I like Linnorms. Do you?

Dragons: A Natural History has a nice long entry for dragons. Having read this first, I'm not a big fan of the D&D write-up of the creature.

    Did you know pop ups

The pop ups are extremely annoying. If you do keep them, could you make them pop-under ads and could you reduce the size. I often surf the forums while I'm not logged in (while I'm at work) and they are not at all useful when the boss walks by me! :)
