I disagree. I took a level of rogue to munch him up a bit, and I regretted it. Granted, I took the rogue level after starting as bard, but I still wish I had stayed a pure bard. His abilities are so varied that to multiclass him only dilutes his best stuff, like his spells and bardic knowledge...

I think most of us agree with you, but I think the rogue is the real skill class. IMO the bard is supposed to be the "jack-of-all-trades, master of none." As mentioned previously, there is nothing scribed in stone that says that you have to max every skill. HOWEVER, I suppose I would like to see...

Re: rangers I felt that way when I first read it too, but I actually warmed up to the idea and now I would actually like to see more of this like Henry mentioned. Its hard to invest your hard-earned skill points on such a focused skill(rope use, anyone?). Only rangers would sink skill points...
