    Vikings D20

The biggest change from standard D&D is the runic magic: I've introduced a spellpoints (mana) system for all the spellcasting classes, and a few other tweaks. The playtesters all liked it.

    Of course! ;)

    Vikings D20

I'm so glad to see that there's an interest for Vikings D20. :D To give everyone an idea of what it is about, I've just cut-and-pasted together a small preview for you. It's not much, but it's a taste of what is to come:

    Vikings D20

I'm afraid you're suffering from some pollution, yeah. According to Voluspaa ("The Sybil's Predictions") Surt, the lord of the firegiants will burn the nine worlds away with his flaming greatsword (must be a flaming burst weapon, at least! ;) ), but a new world will rise from the ashes of the...

    Vikings D20

That is an excellent idea! I'm touching upon Ragnarok in Midgard and I was planning on going into more detail in Beyond Midgard, but a separate book on campaigns during and after Ragnarok is well worth considering. Vikings D20: Ragnarok -sounds cool, doesn't it?

Clueless new author looking for advice

Well, my product is nearing completion! :D I've posted some details here: http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=124879 So far my plan is to publish it as a PDF through RPGnow, but nothing is definite. If any of you publishers out there see this and is interested, let me know at...

    Vikings D20

Good to hear there's interest for Vikings D20. Hope I sell more than 8 copies though! Midgard is looking to end up somewhere between 120 and 140 pages. I don't know what the price will be yet, I need to do some comparisons first. I intend to sell it through RPGnow, yes. Edit: So far...

    Vikings D20

Thanks! Yeah, I'm from Norway. Actually, I'm living as smack in the middle of viking history as you could possibly get. If you have the illustrated version of Snorre Sturlasson's book Heimskringla (about the viking kings of Norway), several of the locations that got their own...

So, what are the 3rd party releases for this year?

Good idea about the press forum. I've created a thread there (link in sig.). I'll keep you all updated there.

A new e-publisher is about to see the light of day. The first product line will be Vikings D20, and the first product Vikings D20: Midgard is scheduled for release as a PDF in april 2005. The second book,Vikings D20: Beyond Midgard will be released sometime this fall. Other upcoming products for...

So, what are the 3rd party releases for this year?

Ok, I'll give another little hint: Skald is a base class, Berserker is a PrC... ;)

So, what are the 3rd party releases for this year?

I don't know how much I can say about that here; these boards aren't for advertizing after all. Let's just say it will be a blend of history and fantasy. All fantasy elements are based on Viking beliefs and mythology, though.

So, what are the 3rd party releases for this year?

Vikings D20: Midgard - Historical Europe as the vikings believed it to be. A low-magic world, with six new core classes and a host of new prestige classes. New spells, feats, monsters etc. The new spellcasting classes using a spellpoint/mana system, rather than spell slots. Vikings D20: Beyond...

Unexpected Moments You Pulled On Your DM

Our party were attacked by a group of orcs, which we wasted quite easily. Except for the leader, that is: He ran behind a tree and when we looked for him he was gone. No-one understood how he could have vanished so quickly. Then my ftr/rogue/wiz (diviner) casts Detect Thoughts. Two rounds...

Help Us Kill Morrus - Just updated 23/03/05

I see the walls idea getting a lot of support here. Don't rely too much on it, though. Those nasty Githyanki have Dimension Door 3/day and Planeshift 1/day. ...but then I believe someone said something about an effect that prevented teleport spells?

New class preference--Am I alone on this?

Agreed. That and the fact that all the good arch-type PrC's has long since been done.

Good norse campaign setting? Old or New?

You're making one too? And here I was, thinking I'd beat the competition... :uhoh:

Good norse campaign setting? Old or New?

Shameless plug: My first RPG book, Vikings D20: Midgard will be released as a PDF in a month or two. The crunchy bits are in the final stages of playtesting, and I'm making good progress on the fluffy bits. The setting is basically earth in the viking era, if the world was as the vikings...

Prestige Classes: Too much of a good thing?

Ah, that explains why it's so silly! :p
