Metamorphosis: From Dretch to Demon Lord - Ascension Released!

I certainly believe that! :D So happy to see antoher update, BG! But please, don't make us wait four months for the next one!

    Libris Mortis is no Draconomicon?

Both dragons and undead have featured heavily in my campaigns, and I've found both books both useful and interesting. I too wish LM could have been longer; there are so many diffenrent types of undead, filling a 100 extra pages shouldn't be a problem. No RPG book has ever made me go WOW! the...

    New D&D movie next year???

According to the D&D 30th anniversary article in Newsweek, there's a new big-budget D&D movie in the works. Suppoesedly opening next years. Has anybody heard anything about this? I find it a bit hard to believe, simply because I've heard absolutely nothing about it. Not on WotC's pages, not on...

Most Unusual or Outrageous Character or NPC Names

As I mentioned earlier, we generally avoid joke names in our group. I just remembered another exception, though: Sir Smitesalot. A paladin, obviously.

Complete Adventurer & Races of Destiny Prestige Classes (from Sharn)

That's right. Humans, half-elves and half-orcs. Pluss the usual new race. Could it be the not-so-fabled half-dwarf? :p

Most Unusual or Outrageous Character or NPC Names

We've generally avoided joke names for characters in our group, but the second character I ever played was a half-elf bard called Sivle Artanis. Nobody in the group ever even realized it was a joke name... :p

    what spells do you use

IMC I've okayed all spells from WotC except those from setting-specific books (FR or Eberron) and almost everything from Monte Cooks Books of Eldritch Might. I've also "imported" a select handfull of spells from Magic of Faerun and a few spells from Mongoose's Encyclopaedia Arcane series. I've...

Help! I need a dozen Arcane NPCs! [My Players Out!]

How about a conjurer/alienist hoping to find a way to summon actual, living nightmares from the plane/realm of dreams? And no, I don't mean the flaming, black horses...

Do You Use the Core Pantheon?

My answer will have to be "yes, for now". When I started making my homebrew, I was still quite new at D&D and found I had enough work ahead of me without coming up with a pantheon as well. The ones that have featured most heavily are Nerull, Erythnul, Pelor, Heironeous and Moradin. I always...

Best creature for the Wendigo template?

I always felt humanoids were the natural choice for a wendigo creature. How about a elf or drow fighter?

    Complete Arcane: Epic Spellcasting Redux?

It would indeed be the perfect place, and it could certainly do with a revision. I don't think we're likely to see one anywhere in the near future, though. :\

    Complete arcane excerpt discussion

Not to my knowledge... I saw it for the first time when WotC posted it's CA preview, and they refered to it as a new PrC. In what seems to be an ocean of revised material, I might add! :\

    Complete arcane excerpt discussion

Green Star Adept is to arcanists what the hierophant is to divine casters: The perfect class for epic characters! At epic levels effective casterlevel is all that matters, since you don't gain new spells anyway. You loose out on 3 bonus feats, but the gain should definitely worth it!

    Appropriate item

Staffs are of course an obvious option for a high-level wizard, very true to tradition. Headband of INT or Ring of Wizardry are also obvious choices. Other stuff that might be cool, in general or specifically for you: Any sort of teleportation device; including plane shift-effects A...

    The mechanical problems with Multiclassing

I didn't agree with a lot of what you were saying, but this sounds like very cool idea. I'll definitely have to consider it for yoinking! ;)

    The mechanical problems with Multiclassing

I think the multiclassing rules function pretty well as they are. I enjoy playing characters who can do a little bit of everything and (almost) always multiclass, so I've had a bit of experience with these rules. While I thought multiclassing was okay even when 3.0 came out, it's gotten so much...

Single Classed, Multiclassed, or Just a Mess?

I don't get to play as much as I'd like to, since I'm the DM most of the time, but when I do get the chance I very often multiclass. (And when I DM, my NPCs also tend to be multiclass.) My very first character was a clr/sor, the next was a bard/ftr/rog/assassin (only a single bard-level, it was...

    Complete Arcane (10 reasons)

Not as impressed with these 10 reasons as I was with the first 10. Sounds like there's an awful lot of T&B material reprinted and not enough new stuff. The warlock sounds interesting, though.

    Complete Arcane (10 reasons)

When one of my players last rolled up a new character Masters of the Wild had just been released, so the Complete books havn't been used much. It's been a long campaign... :D

    Complete Arcane (10 reasons)

I found the 10 reasons very promising! A nice blend of old favorites reivsed and truelly groundbreaking new material. (I'm of course refering to the feats here!) The new feats intrigue me. They sound extremely powerful, so I'm curious to see their exact wording and their prereqs. The idea that...
