I think the primary reason to go with kickstarter is that you try to guarantee revenue that, at minimum, will cover the costs of getting the product into the customer's hands. You aren't maximising sales volumes, but can attempt to guarantee a minimum volume that will keep the costs low enough...

With regards to the Cubicle 7 announcements, one not mentioned, likely because its only mentioned in a single tweet, is for a WFRP 4E supplement on Lustria.

I believe Dan Abnett and his WH40K novels Xenos, Malleus, and Hereticus (a.k.a. the Eisenhorn trilogy) are to blame for this obsession. Although they aren't entirely street-level. :)

A game having a focus on intrigue and investigation suggests there may be systems in the game to support these things, perhaps these systems being just as detailed as the combat system. In any case I am interested.

Thanks to you both. I think I won't get this. With the OP also clarifying its based on the Sword World system and not Dungeon World (I believe some of the initial publicity around the book had said it was Dungeon World) I'm hesitant to pick up a new system despite its "historical significance"*...

So what is the quality of the book? I felt the Konosuba RPG could have used better paper quality so am interested in a comparison.
