    Rules for Infection?

Not quite sure where this goes... Does anyone know of or have rules for injury-infection, and such things as the results of being shot with feces-smeared arrows? I am planning on running some adventures on the Icewall from a Song of Ice and Fire, and need the amped nastiness. :D

Any Ideas for a Quarterstaff Fighting PC

Don't forget the two-weapon fighting chain. And with all that, you're all set for the first 10 levels.

    History Buffs: Time of Alexander

Heading the other direction, how about Italy? Were the Etruscans around yet? And did the Greeks still have their outposts in southern Italy, France, Spain and the like? On other lines, any reccommendations for non-fiction or historical fiction set in this time period...

    AU vs PHB3.5

I'm getting Arcana Unearthed, and will wait awhile for 3.5. Why? 1) The changes will be in the SRD 2) My homebrews require more house rules with D&D than I expect with AU. 3) AU is more interesting to me. Maybe I'll buy the DMG, I don't have most of the non-core stuff that was added to it, so...

    Does Fatigue affect your game?

I think that as hit points are eaten fatigue should kick in. Like, fatigued at half hit points and exhausted at 25%. Those numbers will be tested any week now...

    Midkemia d20?

IIRC Actually, though the setting has D&D roots, they did not stick to D&D for the majority of playing in it. They had house rules to the point of a different system after some time, and one of the most rearranged parts was the magic. In many respects, the difference between High and Low...

    Increased base damage from weapons

I've worked out some lethal mods to the game- I settled on Con score x 2 for Massive Damage. Given the way D&D damage already increases, using straight con score would be terribly lethal- in many combats the people with less than a score of 15 or so would be constantly rolling Fort saves. When...

Star Wars D20: Force Grip Question..

Basically, it doesn't do wound points until vitality is exhausted. So you can't grasp and destroy an organ immediately, first you gently squeeze for a few rounds. Also, remember that regular Star Wars grunts don't have any vitality.

clerics with more than 2 Domains

It would be easy enough to tack on additional domains. Reduce the combat power or the undead turning a bit, and you could justify all kinds of magic-increases. Some of the granted powers are equivalent to a feat, some are worth two, three, or even four. In terms of raw power. And that's not...

    Favored Enemy (Your Race) question

That's odd, my reading of Favored Enemy in 3rd has been that the old passionate hatred and rage are much played down. "Do to his extensive study of his foes and training in the proper techniques for combating them..." So whatever the ranger's reason to select a Favored Enemy, the flavor...

    DC's PrC reworking thread

The other thing apparently missing from the Blood Magus is the ability to sacrifice someone else's blood. That's the big thing that seems to be missing throughout magic. I suppose it must have been covered in Vile Darkness, but why have a blood-magic based PrC that can't cut the hero's...

Any Races/Characters Classes based on David Gemmells Drenai series for DnD ?

There's a problem with D&D David Gemmel. Unlike so many things, his books actually reflect the abilities of people without experience-based gradations. Druss was a woodcutter, but based on natural ability he was at least a 3rd level fighter. Waylander, as he said it, simply always hits. His...

[3.5] Revision Spotlight - Druid class

Druids encased in forged metal plates? There's no question that its a bad idea. I don't think of it as an oath so much as the armor cuts off the connection of the druid to the web of life around them. The 24 hour thing might be a bit excessive though. Nature Sense - A cool but generally...

    DC's PrC reworking thread

You know, you can hit edit on your posts and directly change them online. And I haven't gone after the others yet because I haven't had time to read farther. Just read through the Blood Magus, and nothing obvious occurred to me. Actually, one thing did. There's no voodoo in that class...

    DC's PrC reworking thread

You have good stuff here, and I wouldn't be commenting if I wasn't considering putting it all into my Big Book o' House Ruled Rules. But I tend to come across as very critical. But that's why you've come, isn't it? To see if others can rip your classes to shreds in ways you might want to...

    [3.5] Archers nerfed! Meleers/Spellcasters rejoice!

There's also the lessened need to even bypass DR. DR will generally max at 15. That's for the scary big demons and dragons. Chances are, werewolves will look like DR 5-10/silver, can your archer break that? So after the first encounter, the archer realizes, "hey these things are really...

Problem: character deaths are leading to enormous party wealth

The Adventuring Scholar (new base class)

Versatility: 2 exclusive skills is pretty powerful. How about just 'choose two non-exclusive skills, they are now class skills.' Given the flavor on this class, I would expect a skill list to look something like... (and with two exclusive skills out of three anyway, and off the top of my head)...

    [Humor] B20, Transcending Dice

So, I was in the dining hall with a couple of my players, when one asked a Knowledge question. Wishing the answer immediately, we came up with this system to roll the check... Bean 20 System: Gather 20 beans into a napkin. Flick the napkin so some number of beans fall out in front of you...
