[GenCon] Things you are looking forward to

I'm looking forward to... ... in no particular order: * Meeting a whole lot of EN Worlders, especially our past & present customers - and our neighbors like MEG Hal. :D * Selling a whole lot of custom dice bags to EN Worlders. * Selling a whole lot of custom dice bags to non-EN Worlders. :D...

    Converting to 3.5 woes...

The only "woe" for me... ...is that WotC hasn't made the Conversion Guide available yet. I saw this 40 page, very small-typed, book yesterday while playing RPGA at Talon Comics. There is a LOT of material to convert. Just converting the two scanned pages (FF & MM2) from Gaming Report.com took...

    Damage Reduction

Re: Re: Demons vs. Devils Maybe not for fiends, but for other alignment sensitive sorts it will: The Balor entry says, "A balor's natural weapons, as well as any weapons it wields, are treated as chaotic-aligned and evil-aligned for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction." So - balors...

    Damage Reduction

Demons vs. Devils I may have missed something, but with the new DR in place, does that mean the Blood War just became an eternal boxing match? If it takes a Good AND Lawful weapon to overcome a Tanari's DR, and a Good AND Chaotic weapon to overcome a Baatezu's DR - then how do they hurt each...

(OT) Holy Bovine Is Out Of The Hospital *UPDATE*

Holy Bovine- Here's to a speedy recovery! Think of it this way: you can use all that time in the hospital to convert your 3.0 books to 3.5. ;) Paladin & Paladinwife

D&D 3.x Offical 3.5 character sheet - Now available for download!

Think about this: they already put the 3.5 character sheet in Dragon # 309, it's just too small to copy. So they HAVE already released it.

    Hello D&D playes Wanted!!!

The site looks good. It's a well rounded place too, not just gaming stuff. I signed up a little while ago. See y'all there!

    [OT] Carrying a knife

DWARF - Screw your manager, he's a wus, keep the knife in your pocket where it can't be seen. They're not going to pat you down. Virtually everywhere there's no such thing as a "concealed knife law," after all - the other option is to carry it open in your hand. Just about all laws on knives...

    Wardrobe question

Thanks for taking a look! Think about this: everybody and their dog has a Crown Royal bag. Unless your name happens to be "Crown Royal", it's just one of millions just like it - totally impersonal. That's where our totally customized bags come in. Each one is unique to it's owner. Our new...

    Update on Citizen Games

That's great to hear. It's nice to know that it wasn't the whole company, just one individual with the customer service skills of an orc that screwed everything up originally. Good show Jason Peck & Mark Plemmons! Also, now we don't have to picket their booth... :D

Scourge of the World (DVD in Dragon Mag)

Ouch. Think of it like this: you simply failed an Intelligence check. ;) 1s happen. Hey, at least you didn't think the CD ROM was a cup holder! :D

Scourge of the World (DVD in Dragon Mag)

Is your CD ROM drive also a DVD drive? If not, that's why it didn't work - Scourge of Worlds is a DVD.

    3.5 revision? Martial weapon types?

I bet they'll introduce this concept in The Complete Warrior, after all - what better place for variant combat-oriented feats?

What do we know about Eldritch Knights so far?

Andy Collins says... "In a way, it is to fighter/wizards what mystic theurge is to cleric/wizards. It's intended for multiclass arcanist/warrior-types, though it leans more heavily on the spellcasting than on fighting. Andy Collins Senior Designer Wizards of the Coast Roleplaying R&D"

    Revision Spotlight (6/17)

Me too, I just read the 3.0 version, the only difference is the omission of the mention of the Reflex save. It does make you wonder a bit though since it says, "Attempting to deflect a ranged weapon..." Who's attempting if it's automatic? :D

    Revision Spotlight (6/17)

From the WotC site, Revision Spotlight: "Astute readers will notice only a few minor changes to the Deflect Arrows feat, but Snatch Arrows is almost too cool for the internet. Imagine the look on the bad guy's stupid, monkey face when you make like your favorite Hong Kong action star by...

[OT] Help with annoying co-worker (or...amuse me before I go insane)

Djeta- Since your management team is a joke and doesn't do anything, fight fire with fire: (1) Go get an old country western compilation CD and play it at equal volume. I'm talking the old-timey, twangy crap that only those without ears can stand. (2) Get on the phone and talk loudly about...
