What 3PP product is that? There are several. So you're basing these designs on the power levels of 3PP material, not the epic boons after 20th, that WotC uses (and presumably base their power levels on)? Why?

Why would it ever use bite instead of multiattack? It's not listed as an elite action either. Maybe the aboleth should be able to use it as a bonus action on a grappled or incapacitated creature?

In Dragon+ 33 Tasha's Cauldron of Everything they specifically say Tasha took on the mantle of Iggwilv. Guess that settles what's canon for 5e.

I had great fun with that as well. Ran it in 3E with no trouble. There's an expanded, free version called Under Illefarn Anew (some of the material herein got used in Ghosts of DragonSpear Castle).
