    Brain STORM!

Guess I'll chime in here, though after reading the exchange in GMail, I kinda wonder what the point is... My overall preference would be something non-d20, but my feelings there are well-known and there's no need to make anything out of that. My favorite, of course, is Shadowrun, but anything...

    Real Life

I also want to throw my hat into the ring. I'm willing, if not eager, to run a Shadowrun game of some sort. I understand that this is unlikely to be sellable, but I'm doing it anyway. If all else fails, it's a good time to look for a more compatible group. :p

    Brain STORM!

There is only one possible answer: YOUR MOM!!! :p

    Counterspelling?

It came up in one of our last sessions, but that was the first time I'd ever seen it. I like it as an option, but I think it tends to get lost in the shuffle, as well as overlooked because of the mechanics of it. Spell Defense in Shadowrun is the same way. Wizard duels are always really cool...

    Name that Ship!

HMS Conflagration has always been one of my favorites. I believe it was an actual RN ship in the 18th or 19th century...can't imagine the superstitions that went along with it!

    Canada... where to move?

Umm, so? Sounds like the Western Canada I know and love. Heck, I was camping one Victoria Day weekend down near Regina and we got seriously snowed on. 3-4 inches and it was something like -10C, -15C. It had been a warm week prior to that, too. :p

    Canada... where to move?

AUGH! Everyone makes that error. It's not a Worms song, it's by Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie, which is commonly confused with the more well-known Arrogant Worms. If you just Google "The Toronto Song" you'll wind up with the lyrics.

Let's make up some more acronyms

How can you beat POV (privately owned vehicle)? A three word acronym for 'car'. :p I always get a kick out of that one.

Your favorite class and race and other things.

    1. Dwarven Fighter or Dwarven Cleric, though my favorite class is Scout and combo there would probably be Human, but I've never played one, so I can't really say in practice. 2. Whatever they want? I have no problems helping a new player out with their class abilities and whatnot. I'd make...

How well do you have to know a game to run it?

It depends on a lot of factors. You can get away with more if your players are new to the game as well. You need to know it well enough to run the basics fairly well, while the uncommon stuff doesn't need to be known cold. You have books for a reason, but know when to adjudicate on the fly...

    GNS - which are you?

It's a game and I treat it as such. But I also love getting into world design and why things are the way they are and exploration, so I have a decent simulationist streak as well. As for the story...well, I like some, but I hate when it overtakes the game aspect of it. For me, it is a game...

We Boston Terriers rock! WHOOO! Heh heh. And I vote Kenobi, but only since Rhett does not appear to be an option... :p

Who's applying for a job at Fantasy Flight Games?

I'm at work. I'm not allowed to use the humor part of my brain. :p

Who's applying for a job at Fantasy Flight Games?

Certainly, but that wasn't my point. There are plenty of people who do derive professional satisfaction from working in the gaming industry and that's great. That's not an area where I would maximize my own sense of professional satisfaction, thus the decisions I have made that have gotten me...

    sigh...

Yes, but Greep Gribble Gronk all together is a particular reference. Not an attempt to tread on your toes in any manner. :p KERFLUFFLE!
