Who's applying for a job at Fantasy Flight Games?

Yeah - it used to have the best Wizards of the Coast store, ever in it. But now they're all gone! :(

Overall, though - Minneapolis is a pretty good place to live (I would guess). Football and Baseball available, major metropolitan area, and Midwestern culture hasn't totally given way to the city. The "Minnesota" accent is pretty hard to find inside the city itself.

And hockey, can't forget hockey, of both the professional and collegiate natures...I hear HS hockey is a big deal, too, but that may be more state-wide. You can't really talk about sports in Minnesota without mentioning hockey.

The airport's quite nice as well, but I've spent way too much time there. :p

As for the actual topic...heh. I have no interest whatsoever in working for a game company. Thought about from time to time, but there are other things I'd rather do and would give me more professional satisfaction.

I hope the new "Marketing and Public Relations Associate" director is less rude than the previous one. Getting a rude reply to my inquiry about review copies still angries up my blood. (Granted, I didn't expect any response period, but sheesh, they didn't have to be rude about it).

There are certainly jobs with more "prestige" attached. Heh.

Certainly, but that wasn't my point. There are plenty of people who do derive professional satisfaction from working in the gaming industry and that's great. That's not an area where I would maximize my own sense of professional satisfaction, thus the decisions I have made that have gotten me where I am. Any prestige is just a bonus. And unlikely to accrue to me for another few decades. :D

Not me... I have little interest in working for a gaming company full time. Though I wouldn't mind some on the side work should the opportunity present itself....
