I really like this idea in general. It would play very well with a Lord of the Rings campaign, where most of the characters aren't wearing armor (only Gimli and Frodo are said to wear any, while Boromir had a shield).

Ha, thanks! I am considering creating a 5e version of it for the remainder of Zine Month, but I'm worried it might cause confusion having back-to-back campaigns for the same milieu. Maybe I'll have to rename it.

I'm not very familiar with Critical Role, so I don't know what the fuss is about. Is there anything unique about Wildemount compared to Forgotten Realms, Eberron, etc? Didn't the CR folks already publish a world guide for 5e under Green Ronin?

Am I missing something, or are there no Eberron-specific subclasses beyond the three created for the Artificer? If so... WTF?!?!

1) Creatures that can only be hit by magical weapons. The idea of my nonmagical sword being able to damage a ghost (albeit at half damage) doesn't work for me. 2) Categories for saving throws similar to AD&D. Not the same, mind you, but in that spirit. Saves based solely on ability scores lacks...

What method did/do you use to make your combat rolls? In other words, did you adjust your THAC0 by the opponent's AC (as in the rules), or did you subtract your d20 roll from your THAC0 and tell the DM what AC you've hit? Or something else?

Sorry, I should have been more specific in my original post. To answer your questions, none of the above. We're deciding on what Adventure Path to play next: either one of the many PF1 APs, or the current PF2 AP. Given that it will take us close to a year to complete, it's a fairly big decision...

Have they decided to stick with the cover shown in the article? I thought WOTC had said it was just a placeholder, but the description on the WOTC website makes it sound like this is indeed the actual cover art.
