    MMII has a chain golem!

No worries, Krishnath -- it's sometimes hard to find things on the Wizards site. As for the half-Chain Golem, I imagine it would resemble a Kyton of some sort, except with chains coming from its forearms. :) In fact, it could easily be something an evil priest/Master of the Chains...

    MMII has a chain golem!

Yeah, this was actually in the Artwork section, not in the Web Enhancements section. There are no stats on the website, so I won't know how close it'll be until I look at the printed book. - Devon

    Plankwalked (undead)

I like it -- a lot more serious than the Deck Zombie template I had made awhile back. Ya dun good. - Devon

    Aerial (working title)

Yucky, nasty... I like them. You might want to make it clear that they can talk back using their telepathy (or not) since the description of the creature does not mention they communicate telepathically. If they can simply understand everything by using their telepathy, but can't talk...

    Ice Wrights

They look pretty interesting. I can't wait to see them statted out. They're elemental creatures, but not the traditional Ice Elemental -- definitely a great way to round out the environment. The ability which allows them to move on icy surfaces is called "Icewalking," I believe, and you can...

    Rock Naga: Stats only

Sewer Naga Some suggestions for a Sewer Naga: It could spit a nasty acid, or something that would transmit disease. Stench (as per the troglodyte). Immunity to gas/stench effects. Telekinesis (to unlock doors and raise manhole covers). Maybe it could use its tongue as a lockpick. Slick...

    MMII has a chain golem!

I found art for a Chain Golem in the artwork section of Wizards' page devoted to the Monster Manual II. I wonder how close it will be to the chain golem I created. In fact, I feel a little violated... - Devon

Creatures By Poll - Monster #1 Discussion

Now that I've completely thrown the topic off-balance with the name suggestions...:) Are there any other comments on Boz's stats? There seems to be plenty of support for and against a spit attack. I think we should probably lay aside any arguments which rely upon real-world physics, since...

    template: quasielement creature

I believe the Paraelement templates are already in MotP, but I could be wrong -- I'll have to check my books later (when I'm not at work). If you have MotP handy, then feel free to let me know if I am mistaken - Devon

    mineral quasielemental

No thoughts on variable powers for mineral elementals? I suppose if I did it for them, then I'd have to do it for all the quasielementals -- which would be quite a bit of work. I suppose we can leave the optional powers to individual elemental creatures. :) - Devon

    template: quasielement creature

Hi, folks, I haven't statted the example critters for each of these, but I wanted to put the template out there for comment. I will add the examples as I am able. - Devon QUASIELEMENT CREATURES The different quasielemental Planes are home to creatures that are made entirely of the...

    template: half-quasielemental

As for Radiance, I think the Prismatic series of spells is too wizard-like and magical, and nowhere close to elemental. Maybe I should bring SUnburst down to a lower level. - Devon

    template: half-quasielemental

THanks, Krishnath -- those are all fine suggestions. With the Ash half-quasielemental, though, I had to reject Incendiary Cloud as a power over and over again because it still involves fire, and Ash is a cold element which ahd been set up to be, at least in part, in opposition to fire. I've...

    template: half-quasielemental

Hi, folks, Here is a template for creating half-quasielementsl. Let me know if you see any problems, - Devon Template, Half-Quasielemental Half-Quasielementals are the offspring of the union between mortals and quasielemental creatures, or the end result of the rare infusion of...

    vacuum quasielemental

I've made the suggested changes, as well as modifications to its feat selection. I'm somewhat stymied now -- I'm wondering if its main attack should be to suck people and objects into the plane of Vacuum, or if it should just be a floating mass of no atmosphere? - Devon

    dust quasielemental

Okay, I changed the abilities, feats, and saves to make it more reminiscent of an air elemental. - Devon

    ash quasielemental

Okay, I've changed its abilities, feats and saves, as well as removing the warmth vulnerability. I removed Improved Grab to try and balance out the removal of the warmth vulnerability (I don't imagine the ash elemental is particularly graceful with its choking ability). How's it look now? - Devon
