I would like to run a play by post game here on this board but I would like some advice on what makes a good pbp game. So what does it take?

Have you considered having an enemy spy or traitor aboard the big plane as it's attacked? That would give some of the passengers something to do as the spy attempts to disable the plane! Of coarse the spy would have a parachute handy! :p You could also have the passengers try and repair damage...

Does anyone on here collect Big Little Books or old pulp magazines? I have a modest BLB collection and I am thinking of branching out to pulp magazines.

Only two at the moment (Star Wars and Roleplaying Games) but I have been as high as 4 (Everquest and Comics)! I am amazed that computer/video games didn't make the list.

There are caps on stat bonuses due to PL? I don't remember that. I just though the max was +5 for a 20 Stat. I will have to double check my book. Lets look at a tough boxer type. Strength 20 for a +5, Strike +3 (boxing skills) for a damage bonus of +8. Con of 20 for a +5, Amazing Save +3...

With my experience with M&M, hero and villain points are what save a character from the lucky knockout blow. If all things equal (both hero and villian are PL 10 and have pretty much matching attacks and defenses) every hit should have a roughly 25% chance of a knockout. I remember one game in...

Amazing movie! I loved it. Got me to work on a 30's-40's pulp game using the Mutants and Masterminds ruleset. I am thinking of starting characters at PL 3 with limits on what "powers" they can take.

Oh! The old Fantasy Games Unlimited Space Opera! I was thinking that it was something new. It came out in the early 1980's and it is out of print. I don't think that FGU is even in business anymore. As for the game itself, Space Opera was a complex game, with *very* detailed character creation...
