However, 'Strike a Weapon' clearly states that you can attack a shield (and gives details for a Tower Shield), therefore, you can attack a Tower Shield, even though you can not attack with it.

Nah, not really. My current GM(s) keep things at a level that the characters can generally handle. Or rather, nothing's being thrown at us that we can't find a solution for if we work at it. I'm always open to new things though... Like I said, I don't think modern heavy military hardware...

If I were a (typical) PC, but in a game that involved that kind of hardware I would: a) Run away and call the military b) Surrender or c) Quit the game because the GM is clearly not interested in allowing PCs to survive. But hey, that's me... :) Once you start talking Tanks, Helicopter...

High end military hardware, tanks, anti-tank missiles, mini-guns, etc. are, IMO, the modern day equivalent to the critters in <i>Dieties and Demigods</i>. If you actually try to fight them, well, unless you're very clever, you die. I'm not sure there's much point in attempting to stat them...
