This was my first thought. If Storm Raven cared about his father, he would take care of the pen and use the pen, because it reminded him of his father and his generosity.

Yeah, but it's written by Jon Ziegler and James Cambias! :) Ziegler also wrote Interstellar Wars, which I'm greatly looking forward to. I edited both books, and it's good that they shared an author, because there's good continuity between them.

Question: would you find a combat system that was more descriptive and less numbers-oriented satisfying? For instance, it wouldn't really matter if you were hitting someone with a battleaxe (1d8, martial) or a fist (1d3, unarmed) or a chair (1d4, -4 to hit), it just mattered if you were...

This is a ridiculously good book, by the way. It's one of the best roleplaying supplements I've read in the past 5 years.

Are the vehicles in SC2.0 modeled after real vehicles, or were they designed to work within the framework of a 4-man party of adventurers? I've found a lot of vehicle and firearms rules aren't good because they work within the limited design framework of standard d20.

What sourcebooks have stats and rules for piloting jets, WWII biplanes, tanks, and the like, and stats for those vehicles that make sense in the context of d20? Like, if I want to bring a tank platoon onto the field of battle and fire a volley into a red dragon, where would I look?
