I agree the cloud giant thing is lame. It doesn't make any kind of sense that a player group will ever pick up. So much better if it was a King of Rohhirrim thing like in LOTR where he has been ensorcelled by the vampire or succubus, or drugged or something into agreeing to a stupid plan...

I'm thinking Wave Echo Cave connects to "Hammer of the Gods" by LotFP.

My thought is to use the DCC spells for Scrolls and "Unkown Spellbooks". I dig DCC but found that the spell charts were too much all the time. Gives me an incentive to hand out more scrolls.
