gotta agree with you. most of the guys in the home campaign i used to run did the following when not killing stuff: loot, pick up chicks, destroy things (libraries in particular), and drink. the lone female usually horribly took advantage of poor inn keepers and robbed them blind.

i would say Pyro would apply to Combust from Magic of Faerun since it specifically spells out that the target must make a reflex save or start on fire. if there are any other spells like that i would apply the Pyro bonus. it wouldnt, for example, apply to Fireball. Pyro is good for people who...

well it's not Spell Power but Elemental Savant gives you Elemental Focus (up to +3 at 8th level). i only own WoTC books and that is all ive noticed.
