Yes, and as another person mentioned, the player is still bitter about it. Like Ted, he had the grudge, not his character. The player often has trouble seperating character from player when it comes to emotions (but not knowledge). In this particular case, he was playing a werebear do gooder...

You're probably right, but I'm still gonna call it a boo-lay. ;) That brings up another thing, whether the pronounciation is right or not, there's a comfort zone in pronouncing it the way you have for all sorts of years, wouldn't you say? It's just a game after all, and at the end of the day...

I grew up in Quebec, I had a french teacher named Pierre Boulet, it was pronounced boo-lay, so I don't see why Bulette couldn't be the same. And as far as I recall there are other french words pronounced the same way. I'm a little rusty though, haven't had to speak french in 3 years. :) I guess...

I've been DMing for the past 2 years over WebRPG, then IRC, then OpenRPG, and then MSN messenger. Why MSN? Convenience mostly. Dice rollers aren't a major issue cause I trust all my players (and if they're cheating, they suck badly at it), and MSN has the fastest response time in my experience...
