MCDM's New Tactical TTRPG Hits $1M Crowdfunding On First Day!

actually that is an interesting thought to think about, social media subs to actual consumers of your product ratio. (I am sure some media/marketing person has figured it out). Side note, at least for me, despite the numbers, i do not see a large media presence of Avatar RPG sessions, or people...

MCDM's New Tactical TTRPG Hits $1M Crowdfunding On First Day!

it started off (24hrs) better than Avatar ($1.2M).... lets see if it has legs to get to $9M (81,000 backers). Is there 81,000 people who know MCDM?

MCDM's New Tactical TTRPG Hits $1M Crowdfunding On First Day!

That limited edition box with the mini sold out (999 available copies @ $500.00 a pop) within two hours. People seem to have a lot more money to spend on RPGs now, than when i was teen/young adult in the 80s. I recall saving up cash just to try and stay somewhat current with the game releases...

I'm ready for a new Star Wars RPG

I was curious how much time Edge Studios/Asmodee has left on the IP? There are a ton of books for the system already, and Edge doesn't seem all that engaged to work on new content just reprinting. The printed more books about character trees and options than they did on settings & adventures. I...

Monte Cook Games & Free League Lead The TTRPG Crowdfunding Charts!

As a participant of several Free League KS & Pre-Orders, i have not experienced "being delivered on time" since before 2021. They are high quality products when they do arrive, and i cant really think of a better quality & value based competitor in the RPG market.

Monte Cook Games & Free League Lead The TTRPG Crowdfunding Charts!

I mean to say, their idea of a "quality product" is much lower on delivery day. There are very few positive or highly praised reviews of their boardgames outside of "nice miniatures". The Dark Souls RPG had a laundry list of editing, gameplay and presentation issues. So it means they need...

Some questions for those familiar with Fantasy Age 2e

IMHO with the pedigree of Chris Pramas, it amazes me this is not a better product line, and well tested. The Age games all come with various issues that seem to be more in quantity and blatant than their competitors.

    General DCC RPG thread

Anyone here run the Tournament of Pigs box set? Was hoping how doable it would be for a large group of teens?

Monte Cook Games & Free League Lead The TTRPG Crowdfunding Charts!

who keeps buying steamedforged games? With their track record on "Quality" releases, vs IP grabs, you would think people would realize. Also I think Sandy Peterson has at least 5+ games not delivered? Palladium as well have some past undelivered KS angry backers.

RPG Crowdfunding News – Worlds Without Number, Fe Borg, Mage Hunter, and more

Was Gubat Banwa already mentioned in a KS post? I am curious as to its performance, as it seems the cost of entry is pretty high, but the production values look great. I was hoping it would be performing better, and maybe things are just saturated in the market right now.

My September 2023 List of Collected TTRPG Incoming Releases (Stand alone)

I tried to keep this list to just stand alone (non solo) system releases, i am sure i may have some mistakes or differences of opinion on some of these. Imminent Releases (6 months out from Sept. 1 2023 to Feb. 2024): Mothership (Boxed Edition) TTRPG KS from Alan Gerding. Monty Python's...

RPG Crowdfunding News – Moria, Tombpunk, TTRPG Conventions, and more

My list of upcoming stand alone rpg releases, that i know about, is over 100. The TTRPG releases, and KS deliveries we have had over the last 6 months (50+), several of them KS close to a 1M are saturating the market. 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 are and will be big years for releases.

RPG Print News – Space Penguin Ink, Cubicle 7, and More

i think the last count of announced upcoming TTRPGS i had on my list was about 45 (not expansions or settings) that my limited knowledge knows about. I think we are going to hit critical mass 2024-2025.

D&D 5E (2014) Obojima: Tales from the Tall Grass

just my impression of the first art piece being "similar" to Ghibli style. The list i put together runs a gamut of Zelda like to Ghibli to Anime.

D&D 5E (2014) Obojima: Tales from the Tall Grass

if one looks at how many RPG's are in this theme (I posted them in a different thread), it isn't like this is new territory. I think 1985 games did a lot of work to set the table, the artist they have, is really selling it, and obviously people were hungry. We will see how much of it actually...
