    D&D 5E (2014) Hopes for the 5E Fighter

I side with those who hope that any options such as those presented in ToB are kept strictly optional. ToB was by far my least favorite 3e/3.5e supplement. In fact, after reading through it, I do not think I ever touched it again. But hey, to each their own.

    D&D 5E (2014) ePawn Arena: Too Overboard for 5e?

The ePawn Arena was shown at CES. At an estimated $400, it's a bit extreme.. but it's still a step in the right direction.

    Bodak Death...raise ok?

I'd have fun with it. Keep the character as a bodak. ( bodach : "A bodach, as borrowed into English, is a mythical spirit or creature, rather like the bogeyman. In Modern Scottish Gaelic the word simply means "old man") Of course, as an "Old Man", I'd involve the Cailleach (old woman). After...

Which core races have you played?

Granted, I have not been on the Player's side of a DM's Screen since the late 80s, but some favorites included: Cornalan, half-elf, male Mistanda, half-elf, female Solon, half-elf, male Twilyte, dryad, female Heather, female Usala, female Serrus, human, male Mirada, elf, female Wulf, elf, male...

D&D 4E How Are You Preparing to End Your 4E Campaign?

Remember when WotC asked that question of their 3.5e audience, when 4e was just around the corner? I count that among the bad marketing ploys that backfired on them. Why end a game, if you enjoy it?

So what you want isn't in the Core - how many books do you want?

    1) When 4e was first released, I was going to test the waters with my all-animal campaign concept "Nature of the Beast". Unfortunately, with no Awaken spell, greenhags, or druids, the concept was a lot less appealing. Admittedly, I set my sights a bit high. Yes, I could have converted a boatload...

D&D 5E (2014) What are 5e supporters going to be called

Splitter!! With 5e in mind, a list of words containing Five “E”s: beekeeper, defenselessness, defervescence, effervescence, enfeeblement, sneezeweed I think I'd rather be a beekeeper than a sneezeweed.

Do you really want dials and options?

Options and Complexity Dials? I'm in. Complexity Dials From HERE we are given this graph: Which was later expounded upon HERE : “Setting aside mechanics, I think you can boil D&D down to three basic activities: exploration, roleplay, and combat. Personal tastes vary as to which of the...

    Implications of Reincarnation...

I don't see that as being entirely implausible, given that Neptune Grass inspired me to devise a dryad who was nearly 100,000 years old. Her disciples have also harnessed the power of the sea grass to maintain themselves as necropolitans, eternal guardians of a region they may never leave. As...
