    True, but also minus second wind, which i didn't include as i was comparing fighter vs fighter. And for full comparison, you need to factor some smite slots to cover action surge, extra feat (i.e. Inspiring Leader) vs aura of protection, and so on. Not that any EK would just dump their slots...

    It's until the end of your next turn. So it helps allies land a Sleep or Stunning Strike or whatever. Thought now that i mentioned it, Cold Caster would be excellent on an Elemental Monk.

    The solution i like is something like... The boss creature takes an additional turn at initiative -10. The legendary creature takes 2 additional turns at initiative +10 and initiative -10. The epic creature takes 3 additional turns... Beholder takes turns at initiative +10, +5, it's roll, -5...

    It enables the Cold Caster feat (-1d4 on their next save) to go along with that. Kind of tbe only way trigger it consistently aa you need to "hit" with Cold damage.
