D&D General Disease related D&D supplements or adventures?

YES!! I guess I misremembered there being "scarlet" in the title pretty badly. I wonder what my brain was thinking of. Huh.

D&D General Disease related D&D supplements or adventures?

I'm pretty sure it heavily featured olive slimes and slime creatures. Damn, wish I could remember- as I recall, it read like a pretty good adventure.

D&D General Disease related D&D supplements or adventures?

There was a late 2e or maybe early 3e era Dungeon Magazine that had an adventure focused on a disease or infestation related to Juiblex. I believe it started in a town that had been infected via a cistern. I don't recall the name, but I think it had "Crimson" somewhere in the title- maybe...

D&D General How the heck do you fight a medieval war in winter?

Goodberry has been massively overlooked. It's a first level spell. Its only downside is that it doesn't improve when cast at higher levels, but it will feed 10 people per casting.

    D&D 5E (2014) Rate Your 5E Rules Expertise

I don't think publishing has anything to do with rules mastery. I'd rate myself at an 8 or 9 if not for that.

D&D General Which 3.0/3.5 Prestige classes would make good 5e subclasses? (+)

I have a version of the cancer mage for warlocks, where the tumor is the character's patron.

D&D General Do you play in person or online?

Both. Mostly in person, but I am in one game where the DM and about half the group is several hours away.

D&D General What modules have you reused for multiple campaigns

What do you mean by campaign? I always use the term in the old sense, in which it describes the milieu rather than a given group of pcs' adventures.

D&D General Do you track ammunition?

Yes, as a player. And I have my players track ammo as a DM. Ranged combat, especially post-2e, is basically superior to melee combat- there is almost no drawback to it. Limited ammunition is a very meager downside, IMHO.

    Rescued hostages from Juiblex cult.

Describe your last rpg session in 5 words

    Pcs escaped from Lost City.

D&D General Why did you have to cancel/reschedule your most recent session?

Our most recent reschedule was an "Other"- the DM's kid had a school concert. Since the game defaults to every other Friday, I can't call this double booking, per se; this is just one of those things that comes up once in a while where another commitment takes priority, and the schedule needs to...

How Do You Keep Track of All Your RPG Books?

I use a bookshelf. And I'm pretty familiar with what I have, as well as with what I don't have but want. I'm a collector, but not a completist, if that makes sense.

    D&D 5E (2024) Multiclassing as feats:

I saw pcs take two or even three of them. They seemed to be decent enough to me, compared to how fiddly a lot of 4e feats were.

Missing players and other players running their PCs

We just have the missing pc fade into the background. Maybe they're guarding the camp, maybe they're scouting ahead, maybe they have a bout of the flu or explosive diarrhea, but we don't worry about it too much.

how many of powerful beings and/or high-level characters do you think is appropriate in a typical fantasy world?

Well... the problem with this question is that I don't think there's any such thing as a 'typical' fantasy world or setting. I think the number of powerful individuals should vary according to the needs of that setting. In some settings, there might be a fair number who manipulate things from...

D&D General Languages suck in D&D.

This is a topic near and dear to my heart, but I have to leave in a few minutes. I'll do a quick copy and paste of some of my language rules; but due to formatting issues I will have to save the list of what languages are in what category, and the levels of similarity that they have, for after I...

    GM no-roll

Hell no. I like to DM and I like to roll dice. As a player, I like the DM to roll dice. It's not impossible that I would enjoy such a game, but it's very doubtful.
