    Neverwinter Theme Previews

Looks like it. I didn't own any Chult-focused sourcebooks or adventures, but according to Wikipedia that's where pseudo-African humans live. Mulhorand would be quasi-Egypt, if I'm not mistaken.

Pathfinder 1E Paizo Announces More Details about Minis Line

Lords of Madness had 1 huge mini plus 1 large and 4 medium or small minis. None of them were visible IIRC; maybe you were thinking of the Savage Encounters set? (The LoM list is here.)

    2nd Edition AD&D Collector's Guide

Hooray for another Collector's Guide! Shouldn't this be the AD&D 2nd Edition Collector's Guide? ;) The links for the revised books are mixed up. You're also missing some codes for the PHBR, DMGR, and HR series books. You might want to add that this was bundled with the adventure "Terrible...

What are the best classes for each role in 4th edition?

Brutal Scoundrel Rogues should have a high Strength. The Battle Cleric recently got some power-ups, including new powers in the enabling department. I'd say he's a better leader than the Devoted Cleric right now, but still in the runner-ups.

What are the best classes for each role in 4th edition?

Just hinting at why the Sorcerer doesn't appear on my list. I sure wish there was an amazing paragon path for them. Storm Sorcerers can be downright scary in the heroic tier, IME.

What are the best classes for each role in 4th edition?

Agreed. As I'm a firm believer in the "dead monsters don't crit" philosophy, I didn't include the Cleric in my list. If only they had a good paragon path that enhances their striker role. ;)

What are the best classes for each role in 4th edition?

The usual suspects are probably these: Defender: Fighter, followed by Warden and Paladin Leader: Warlord, followed by Bard Striker: Ranger (both melee and ranged), followed by Rogue Controller: Wizard, followed by Invoker

    Arcanist playtest

IMO zones are a form of control: they force the monsters to scatter. My Eberron wizard sadly agrees with MrBeens: the Enlarge Spell feat can't enlarge dailies. Did the PC multiclass into sorcerer to get access to Arcane Empowerment?

    Arcanist playtest

Seeing that they nerfed several spells this way, I don't like this at all. The way I see it, this has been done to protect minions, but it reduces the wizard's damage output, which could lead to (more) combat grind. I'm going to ignore this change for my games. Also, why didn't they just state...

    Exotic Siege Weaponry

Disease-carrying stirge swarms. Securing the city after the siege will be a mess, though.

    Exotic Siege Weaponry

I was about to suggest armored zeppelins with lightning guns (crewed by storm sorcerers), but that's even weirder. :) How about enchanted projectiles that teleport a certain volume of matter several yards away on impact? Or instead of teleporting, they transmute stone to mud or metal to wood.

I Want the Old Realms Back

Which doesn't eliminate your assumption's problems that I mentioned (e.g. unknown sample size). I'm sure someone with a good knowledge of statistics can explain it far better than I could. Also, fans leaving fan forums can have other causes than a major change to their favorite setting, which...

I Want the Old Realms Back

That's an incomplete picture. There are FR fans who are not active on forums, and their opinions and numbers aren't known. The sales numbers for 4e FR novels might be an indication, but to my knowledge these aren't publicly available. Also, it's the internet; people like to complain about...

    Dark Sun... any good?

My 2 cents: Good Reset of the timeline back to the original Dark Sun box (so you're free to ignore what ruined the setting happened in the Prism Pentad novels)4e's newcomer races fit pretty well into the setting, especially the dragonborn (dray)Balanced races and psionic wild talentsThe Primal...

What is with these crappy Video Games?

Yeah, I referred to 1988's Pool of Radiance and wasn't aware that Ruins of Myth Drannor also used that name. :) I was thinking of the Heart of Winter expansion to Icewind Dale where some 3e rules were introduced.

What is with these crappy Video Games?

Pool of Radiance used the AD&D 1e rules (e.g. weight measured in gold pieces). It was my first CRPG, and it was awesome. :) One of the Icewind Dale games was the first one to use at least some 3e rules, IIRC.

    Where's the lance?

There's an Unbroken Lance enchantment for spears in Adventurer's Vault 2. For a regular lance I'd just use a spear.

Gods, dead gods, and dominions: a list

Yeah, there are still some 4e books I haven't read even though they're sitting on my shelf. I should have the time for that in a few weeks (yay R&R!), then I'll update my list again. (Vorkhesis sounds familiar, I'm guessing he's from E1, E2, or E3. Also, a beholder exarch of Kord? )

Gods, dead gods, and dominions: a list

Thanks. I've added Eclavdra to the list. However, I couldn't find a mention of Kurtulmak in the Plane Above. Could you tell me the page number, please? TIA.

Would removing Superior Weapons open the game up more?

I've tinkered with a very similar idea, though I've kept a few superior weapons with the caveat that one can't specialize in them (e.g. parrying dagger, double scimitar, urgrosh). Weapon Specialization Feats The benefits from Weapon Specialization feats do not stack. If you use a weapon where...
