DMM Persistent Spell - Do You Allow It?

I haven't DMed in a while, but if I do in the near future, I will not be allowing nightsticks. That alone reduces the cheese to a managable level.

    Magic Jar: Is it useful?

I used the spell to communicate with someone under "house arrest". We tunnelled under his home, so only the person we wanted wuold be at the extreme range of the spell. I then possessed him and wrote him a note, leavnig it on his counter. For the next hour or so, I keep periodically taking...

Orbs vs. Evocations II- with level by level data

Though a BBEG with mirror image can make the orb useless. :)

DI ...what i want to see

A character generator that contained all the new feats and stuff (it doesn't have to say what the feats do, just correctly handle the pre-reqs) and then print out a character sheet would be worth the price of admission.

    What is a good non-d20 sci-fi RPG?

I liked the Last Unicorn Star Trek rules.

    Di Sample ???

Note that the dried carrots are priced by the ounce. It then assumes your sack is 100% full to the brim of them. That is a LOT of carrots.

Spider-Man vs a Great Wyrm Black Dragon

Sounds like you want Shadowbane Inquisitor for Batman. (or Vigilante if you want to suck ;))

What constitutes your "comfortable" level in a campaign?

I can handle anything that isn't an entire new system (MoI, ToB, ToM, DrgM, etc)

Shooting arrows through a Wall of Fire

A wall of opaque violet fire that is only hot on one side and deals double damage to undead even if they have no particular vulnerability to normal fire. Clearly we're dealing with some sort of strange mystical effect that is only vaguely similar to real fire in that it deals fire damage.

Shooting arrows through a Wall of Fire

Except Wall of Fire doesn't damage objects. It specifically states that it damages creatures.

    Peter, Paul and Mary KNEW!!!!

And you were still wrong. The song was based on a late 1950's poem by a Cornell student about innocence lost. One of PP+M (I forget who) was also a Cornell student and teamed up with the original author to turn it into a song.

    Fighter, spelled F-I-T-R

I love skill points too much. I refuse to play a character with less than 10 int, and generally higher if I can get it. If I'm playing a cleric, fighter, or paladin, I invariably play a human to get the extra skill points. Also I myself am relatively intelligent, so rather than intentionally...

Would Hasbro be better off without D&D?

    No. So very no.

    Metamagic Rods--Overpriced?

I think for the most part they are priced appropriately, based on that use. Our group plays that way, and I'm playing a level 14 wizard. We also have a pixie arcane trickster in the group. The fact is we just don't have the time to commission buckets of rods from one of the two NPCs we've...

    Metamagic Rods--Overpriced?

Come on Rystil, no one actually listens to an OPs requests about what people should say in the thread. Heck, most of the time you're lucky if they even read anything other than the poll before posting.

Who is interested in the Digital Initiative?

No. But then again, I never saw the reason to buy Dungeon or Dragon. Between all my books and free content on the web already, I have more than enough crunch to last me a long, long time.
