D&D General Todd Kenreck Let Go from WotC

This is about the new non-edition being out. Plus maybe the senior people who had his back no longer being there.

Kickstarter pre-launch followers vs total funded

Based on the line in the OP, that many followers would lead to about $6 million for an EN Publishing product. So Cosmere really is a big deal, and not just in terms of number of followers.

What Do You Call This Popular Beverage?

You left off "soft drink". Which I do not say, but which is the reference for it. Also, in other parts of the world, "soda" can be much more interesting. I saw one like this just yesterday (except it was more of a blue color):

    AD&D/OSRIC: How did initiative work?

Its the DMG...so many places in such dense text. (My memory of weapon speeds used on a tie is in fact there, but under "strike blows", not "Initiative...ties".)

TSR Why would anyone want to play 1e?

Back when this was a much more relevant discussion, a lot of 1e players did not in fact switch. One such DM, looking at my 2e player handbook, said "this game has no style".

TSR Why would anyone want to play 1e?

2e was great except for all those specific things that were bad. (And 2e was not so great).

    AD&D/OSRIC: How did initiative work?

Surprise could be equivalent to multiple rounds and some tables use weapon and spell speeds on a tie...which might have been official? There is also the round itself. Does each side just go, or is it broken down by action--range attacks first, then movement, then melee...

The Breakdown of Gen Con 2025 RPG events

My main takeaway is that almost 400 different rpgs have sessions at GenCon. And close to 90 have a number of events in the double or triple digits.

Judges Guild Makes Statement About Goodman Controversy [Updated]

I thought this was just some trolling, not a full NuTSR situation. It’s full NuTSR.

    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 D&D: now available for the rest of us

2014 books were widely available, usually within a few months of US release. The infinite staircase one for example was here, maybe the last one to generally available here. But I have also noticed D&D stuff in general being less prominent. ( though I could find movie tie in stuff). Waiting...

    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 D&D: now available for the rest of us

So, several months later.... Roll20 is better with 2024. But not 100%. 2014 ease of use was (or I guess is) still greater. But the gap is smaller, and for those that want it you can mix between the two. But the books are no where to be seen in the not North America location I am in. I...

D&D General grodog's Top 10 Favorite Greyhawk Adventures

They will be lucky to live through what may be multiple combat encounters (and maybe being betrayed by someone they brought from town) and encounter a few empty rooms--which are that way for a reason. There are plenty of TSR modules--in 2e it was entire boxed sets--with surprisingly little in...

D&D General grodog's Top 10 Favorite Greyhawk Adventures

I would certainly include Tomb, FT of Tharizdun, and Tsojcanth, maybe Barrier Peaks. Probably at the expense of the non EGG ones. As for your top one, it always seemed like it would be a challenge to run, but I assume you have done so?
