Shameless Movie Scene Rip-Offs You Got Away With

Back in AD&D I did a spelljammer campaign based on Aliens. Yeah, we nuked those bastards from orbit. It was the only way to be sure.

Rule of Three finally addresses an important epic tier question!

Malazan books of the fallen seems epic to me. It even has epic rank and file monsters. And plenty of characters there have hit the epic tier.

Rule of Three finally addresses an important epic tier question!

Here is the thing. If in epic tier you are fighting to save creation, either the entire epic tier is a single mega-adventure or the characters have to save all creation every couple of levels which really :):):):)s up immersion. It becomes like a bad saturday cartoon where the same 5 people...

    Order of the Stick 784

Eh, did Belkar just release the Allosaurus to save the lizards? That sounds chaotic good.

Rule of Three finally addresses an important epic tier question!

What is an epic tier rank and file monster? This is one thing I never understood myself. The few epic adventures that I have run focused heavily on skill challenged, role-playing, and occasional but challenging setpiece battles. I find the idea of a commonly encounter yet epic difficulty monster...

Placing a kingdom in Eberron / Forgotten Realms

Nulakesh and Ohr Kaluun are old kingdoms that existed in Riedra before the consolidations. Ohr Kaluun was a land of wizards and clerics of the Dark Six who performed dark rituals to empower themselves. At the height of their war against the Inspired during the consolidation they crafted vast war...

D&D 4E New published places for 4e Forgotten Realms?

I think you covered them. Apart from little blurbs mentioning them in Grand History of the Realms your only chance of finding additional information is from Greenwood's Q&As in Candlekeep. Btw, it is Anchorome:)

D&D 4E New published places for 4e Forgotten Realms?

There are actually more continents in Toril than Maztica and Faerun/Kara-Tur/Al'Qadim. Katashka for instance is a large landmass with what seems like a hybrid Polynesian-African culture (tribes from which migrated to Chult).

Placing a kingdom in Eberron / Forgotten Realms

I still feel Riedra is your best bet. Do no think of the quorri as everpresent; the average Riedran does not even know they exist. Also they really meet most of your given criteria particularly in the border between Nulakesh and Ohr Kaluun. Strong racial tensions exist, the area is dominated by...

    OotS 0775

I would expect that considering the magnitutde of what V did with Familicide, most major players on the OotSverse will have divined his/her identity and partial account of actions (anything directly involving the Rifts might be blocked by contact other plane, though vision and legend lore should...

Name a cool way to permanently kill a rakshasa

You don't kill creatures with guaranteed reincarnation. You imprison them, bind them or trap their souls.

Pfft, this is nothing. Wait till you see what happens when you have epic diplomacy skills.

    D&D 4E [Essentials] Heroes of the... ?

Question, why not fold in many of the old classes as build for more basic classes? Invokers could easily be cleric builts that are controllers. Swordmages might well be wizard builts. Shamans can be druid builts (i'd be tempted to suggest druids should be shaman builts . . .).

    Magazine Survey from WotC

I would challenge that they have been successful, at least the D&D department. They have never been a star, they had a period as a cow (questionable since the market is small), they are currently a question mark and they can end up a dog any month now.

    Magazine Survey from WotC

You don't get it. I don't care if I am the only person who actually unsubscribed and everyone else saying the same is lying. Customer retention is king, especially during a recession. Making no effort to keep a customer who decides to drop your product is simply moronic. Attracting new customers...

    Magazine Survey from WotC

I and as it seems many others recently allowed our subscriptions to lapse. Wizards have made no attempt to survey me or ask why I stopped my subscription. And I was not a subscriber who just went for one month every few, I had an active subscription from DDI launch till this month. As someone...

    Oots 0761

I get a feeling that Tarquin is a Rogue/Fighter/Dashing Swordsman and actually is somewhat min/maxed (like Ftr 4 for weapon specialization definitely). It would make a nice change from his sons.
