D&D 5E (2024) Does Innate Sorcery grant True Strike advantage?

Of course. I've never disputed that. But so what if that's the case?

D&D 5E (2024) Does Innate Sorcery grant True Strike advantage?

Radiant Damage vulnerability with BPS resistance. Yes, it's unlikely, but there is a theoretical use case.

D&D 5E (2024) Does Innate Sorcery grant True Strike advantage?

And True Strike can be detrimental if your str/dex is higher than your casting stat.

D&D General Why Enworld should liberate D&D from Hasbro

I know what 'cannot stand the mere existence of another in the space' means. I don't know what 'cannot stand the mere existence of another being recognized in the space' means. Can you elaborate on the difference?

D&D General Does Cleric/Druid get 2x wis bonus to Arcana checks?

Clerics get the Thaumaturge feature. Druids get the Magician feature. Both give + wis mod bonus to arcana checks. When multiclassed do you get to add your wisdom modifier twice to arcana checks? EDIT: Made the question more clear.

    D&D 5E (2024) 2nd level casters are disappoint

IMO all level 1-2 Full Casters are lacking now if just looking at their class features. The wizard being very lacking and bard maybe moreso at those levels. That said, magic initiate essentially gives them an extra cast of some really good spells and access to really good spells not on their...

    D&D 5E (2024) Creating a Robust Ranking Methodology

Hi all, I am trying to create a class ranking system where I primarily take character sheet data and DPR calculations as variables/metrics, normalize those values between 0 and 1, apply weights and obtain a final ranking normalized between 0 and 1. Here's a screenshot of the current results...

I set up port forwarding to my computer and set up a firewall exception to that port. Probably something small I’m missing.

D&D General 5e System Redesign through New Classes and Setting. A Thought Experiment.

4e didn’t have perfect mechanical balance :( Frost Cheese was one example. That the char op community started measuring damage in kills per round was another. Etc.

Does the Death Curve Beat the Death Spiral?

Death spiral is generally less output the more damaged you are. I don’t think following the right half of the bell curve to be useful as you’ll drop down in output significantly enough for it to really spiral you despite it not really going lower at some point. Anything more than 2/3 of your...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Kind of like how hotels skip counting the 13th floor? If we don’t call it the 13th or last then it’s not ;) I guarantee doing that stops all the accidents from being on the last car. ;)

D&D 5E (2024) Does Innate Sorcery grant True Strike advantage?

In 5e, the attack is both the swing and damage?

D&D 5E (2024) Does Innate Sorcery grant True Strike advantage?

IMO ‘Attack roll of the spell’ need not be construed so broadly that it includes summons or so narrowly that it excludes true strike.

D&D General Good min-maxes (no multiclass)

There are no hard aggro abilities. There are soft one, like making yourself more threatening (higher offense or control are the most common, having more damaging OA’s, etc.). As an example a once made a swashbuckler rogue with a dip in barbarian so I could get a high damage OA and have the...
