D&D General Operation: Kill Dark Sun and Take Its Stuff

It occurs to me that we may not need to "throw the baby out with the bathwater" with Dark Sun. While it's unlikely that we will see Dark Sun again, we can use some of the more interesting elements and themes in our games. It won't be the same, but parts of it can live on. This is a...

D&D 5E (2014) WotC: Why Dark Sun Hasn't Been Revived

Timothy Brown did a 3rd party setting called Dragon Kings that was supposed to be a spiritual successor to Dark Sun. There was a Kickstarter for this a few years back. This is different from the sourcebook you're talking about.

D&D 5E (2014) WotC: Why Dark Sun Hasn't Been Revived

As a point of comparison, how were the problematic aspects of Dark Sun handled in its spiritual successor, Dragon Kings?

I should write a book called "Diary of an RPG Hoarder"

At some point, one runs out of bookshelf space. ;)

I should write a book called "Diary of an RPG Hoarder"

I once believed that way. Then I had a bunch in storage. Some got ruined when my basement flooded. Then I moved to a new house and I could not believe the sheer number of books I have. I wasn't going to put them anywhere where they would get damaged, yet there wasn't enough area in the house...

I should write a book called "Diary of an RPG Hoarder"

I've collected gaming books for decades. When my family moved last year, I got a real idea for how many books I had. I've gotten rid of a bunch, but there's more. I seriously struggle with getting rid of some of them. I have questions that run through my head. I currently play 5e. Do I get...

    ZEITGEIST Various Zeitgeist Questions

I've been looking through my RPG book collection recently trying to decide whether to get rid of some old books or not. I moved a year ago and discovered I had a lot more stuff than I originally thought I had, and I just don't have the space. So this leads me to Zeitgeist. I got the first...

D&D General What is the last OGL adventure you DM'd or played in?

Is there a 5e version of this? And do they have a compiled version? I have a compiled book for Zeitgeist for Pathfinder 1e. That's only the first part of the adventure.

If this movie doesn't start with the heroes in a tavern, I will be disappointed.

D&D 5E (2014) How will the recent OGL developments affect your D&D spending?

We've noticed a plunge in sales on Tasslehoff's Pouches of Everything due to this whole mess. It's the Dragonlance Nexus' debut product on DMs Guild, too. As Dragonlance is owned by WotC, it's not like we can sell it using a different game system. If we did use a different system, we could...

D&D 5E (2014) How will the recent OGL developments affect your D&D spending?

I have been pondering this, and I think it's too early to tell. I want to see the final OGL changes before I make a final decision. I can honestly say that I will be picking up more 3rd party products. I like to support the companies that care about their customers. I'm digging what I see from...

    D&D 5E (2014) Everyday Heroes Review

I've been thinking of picking up Everyday Heroes. I liked the concepts of d20 Modern, but thought it a bit more complex than I would have liked. My two favorite books of that line were Urban Arcana and d20 Future. What I would be interested in seeing is a set of urban fantasy rules (which you...

I've known Jeremy for several years now, and he does good work. Nice guy. We chatted just the other night, in fact.

    Dragonlance Dragonlance comes to DMsGuild

With us at the Nexus, we've worked on Dragonlance for the last 21 years, including with Margaret Weis Productions. However, this is our first foray into the Dungeon Master's Guild territory. If you want to do your own thing, go for it! There's room for more than one point of view.

    Dragonlance Dragonlance comes to DMsGuild

It's on our to-do list at the Dragonlance Nexus. One step at a time. Meanwhile, we have Tasslehoff's Pouches of Everything Revised out. It's got a chapter called Creatures of Krynn that might be of interest. Plus plenty more in the works. Stay tuned!

Dragonlance Dragonlance Nexus Releases Revised Tasslehoff's Pouches of Everything and Champions of Krynn Chapter 1

I wanted to give an update on the POD status on Tasslehoff's Pouches of Everything Revised. Currently we are a silver best seller (yay!) and are quickly approaching electrum. DMs Guild's requirements to do a POD version is to have at least one gold best seller. So that's our goal. Tasslehoff's...

Dragonlance What Dragonlance Shadow of the Dragon Queen cover did you get?

I'm getting all three because I'm a Dragonlance nut. :D My favorite is the one from the deluxe set.
