For context, on Abeir the people of Unther spent a generation or two enslaved by dragons...so when they came back they were not happy to share space with the Dragonborn.

But the Dragonborn have not all knuckles under, either. Sounds like material for a campaign.

I've seen a fair bit, it was oen of my dad's childhood favorites when it was broadcast over here. There is a fairly large degree to which the whole Anglosphere shares some particular "Hollywood" faux-Medieval ideas.

D&D General Ben Riggs interviews Fred Hicks and Cam Banks, then shares WotC sales data.

I mean, there is no "due" in the matter, the world is not "owed" a new variation on Dungeons & Dragons on some schedule. And nobody is stopping that, so itnis not a matter of "letting" anyone have it. The only thing that matters in regards to there being a new variation of D&D is WotC business...

Or would they...? Controversy like that has a way of being a turn off, when word of mouth is so important. A well-tested and refined standard with fun packaging and prodi t design is going to be more attractive to new players.

No, that's right, new players are not stuck in theory ways: by Justice Arman's account, they spent a lot of the development time for the new Starter Set carefully studying how nee players approach the game and gearing towards that. Current D&D is kind of laser focused on new players acquisition.

Purple Dragon Knight Retooled as Banneret in D&D's Heroes of Faerun Book

I kind of prefer it as a story-based, DM buy-in like magic items or allies than as hardcoded features.

Right, but it is clearly a big new thing, most new things did not do as well Jeremy as WEG Star Wars or GURPS.

D&D General Forgotten Realms Books Tables of Contents

I mean, there are 17,000 possible endings for BG3, leaving it in a stage of quantum flux while leaving hooks for tables to use their ending as canon is a good way to go. They seem to be playing that same cagey game with all the 2014-2025 era game material: maybe it sorry of happened, maybe in...

Different, but related both ways: so I think it makes sense for an American to see the commonality, and similar from a British point of view. Aesthetically, there never was a Medieval Canada, so a Canadian "doing Medeival" is going to draw on British (and to some extent, German) tropes.

Don't necessarily mind that, but guidance on a more non-evil party option would be nice. If there are aplinter seats of the Cult of the Dragon (and there are)...why not one thst is less Dommsday-is? The Discalced Reformed Siblinghood of St. Klauth the Unrivaled Ancient or something.
