Warlock + Shadow Walk + Stealth...

Hmm, a'ight that makes sense, still rubs me a bit of the wrong way, but seems better. And so for now I'll go with it :) Tellerve

    Can you wield two implements?

Hmm, ya know, I'm not sure. I thought I saw it earlier but now all I see is that you have to wield it, page 157, and it is a staff, and a two-handed weapon and it says it is too heavy or unbalanced to be used without two hands. You could argue that this is for the melee aspect of a staff as...

How drunk do I get? - need rules for intoxication

Pretty cool, although I still wouldn't mind seeing something with hangovers taking away healing surges. Also, you say -2 to checks, defenses etc, against alcohol. When are you attacking the alcohol? Ok, maybe later in the drinking you get upset at the keg, but still :) Are these the penalties...

How drunk do I get? - need rules for intoxication

Yep, certainly a poison, but I think modeled on the Disease chart perhaps. I mean, alcohol is a poison, just a delicious one at that :) I like the idea of having dazed, slowed, etc. I also like the idea of using minor action to steady yourself. I even like the idea of possibly some sort of...

Shuriken as a Melee weapon and Retrieving thrown weapons

Well, only ammunition is 'spent', javelins, hammers, hand axes etc, aren't ammunition. Secondly, it states that any magical item that is thrown comes back to the character automatically. Neat huh? Tellerve

    Wizard of the Spiral Tower

Actually, no, I think it makes sense, although I will say that people are doing a good job at trying to confuse me, but luckily I just keep reading the book and I think like you do that it makes sense. I mean, at some level I'm a bit of a min-maxer myself and I can understand the allure to find...

Warlock + Shadow Walk + Stealth...

Does teleporting count towards the movement that Warlocks need 3 squares of to get concealment? I mean, I understand they are farther away via the shadow walk, so they have "moved" essentially. But it was instant, and I dunno, doesn't seem like it should count. But that's my gut, my opinion...

    Wizards in leather

I'm assuming also that since you can retrain later after you've figured out which spells you like and take expanded spell book away you can decide which spells stay in your spellbook. Seems neat to me. Also, someone in another thread mentioned making wands of the spells you sorta like but are...

    Wizards in leather

Man, apparently I'm the only one that likes Expanded Spellbook. I always wanted to play wizards that got all the spells :D I like my choices! But I agree, Leather armor does seem like a grand idea. Tellerve

How drunk do I get? - need rules for intoxication

I was thinking about a disease progression as well, since poison works too quickly, but obviously dwarves should get their poison resistance bonus factored in here. I also really like the idea of a skill challenge drinking contest :)

Irongorn, the Heavy Ranger (ranger/pit fighter)

Sadly, or not depending on your take, you can't multi-class twice. He's a ranger that mult-classed to fighter to get the Pit-Fighter prestige class. Tellerve

    Twin Strike Target Declaration Question?

Yes, true, I was going with the assumption that there was willy-nilly Hunter Quarry'ing going on. :)

DMG Intro Adventure - Big Spoiler!

I'd say you got off lucky if the dragon was missing that often. As for the hole in the roof of the cave, I'm totally going to have that as well. Glad I'm not the only one that thought it needed that. I also have been thinking about a skill challenge, or somehow set it up that perhaps they can...

    Twin Strike Target Declaration Question?

Something odd to consider about this twin attacking and hunter's quarry. It would appear that the agreement is that you do your two attack rolls before any damage rolls. And then it was mentioned that in Hunter's Quarry if you have multiple attacks you can see the attack roll results before...

    Proud Nails?

Hmm, I sorta see what you mean about wizards and staffs, as they say they need to be wielding it to gain the power, as opposed to saying having it in hand, and a staff is a two-handed weapon. Ahh well :( Tellerve

DMG Intro Adventure - Big Spoiler!

First, I'm not doing it incorrectly, Archus is, which is why I put my question up there to try and have him explain it without outright telling him he was wrong. But then you quoted me, and still have it wrong. It isn't each round, read the power again. It says the first attack it takes...

Response to recent article by James Wyatt on DMG

I'm looking for it again currently, but I know I've read that like resistances don't stack, pretty much as everything "like" doesn't stack. So no adding up resistance 5 fires to get some huge fire resistance. Tellerve

DMG Intro Adventure - Big Spoiler!

How's that extra damage for attacking two characters work when you only have one creature to mark and the mark says that the creature only takes damage the first time it chooses not to attack you? Were you doing something like having the paladin stop challenging to re-challenge the next round...

    Stealth in Combat

ah, my bad. After trying to read through this thread and going back and forth to the book to see how I would rule stuff versus how others are seeing it I guess I go my head a bit mushy :) Thanks, Tellerve
