D&D Launches New Eberron-Themed Playtest With Dragonmarked Feats

I've always felt that it was the Goblins who use guns. It might be a more recent invention that Goblins started to use or guns were something that the ancient Dhakaani used and it's something that was only recently uncovered. But that was what I felt about their place in Eberron.

D&D Launches New Eberron-Themed Playtest With Dragonmarked Feats

-No more bedrolls that disappear while you're sleeping on one, that's a big improvement! -The Cartographer is not a first idea of what I would have for an Artificer, but seeing as it's the 5th subclass it seems like a good one at first glance. -I guess they'll probably want to use Expeditious...

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Marilith Is Far More Bestial In 2025

There's 2 paragraphs from Fiends: Faces of Evil written in 1997, about the Tanar'ri which probably applies to Obyriths and other types of Demons. Basically it says they take genders as they will, some days male, some days female or neither or both. But tend to stick with a choice as later on...

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Marilith Is Far More Bestial In 2025

I don't care about the Purple Dragon Knight, as I don't really care about FR lore even though it's quite fluid to begin with, it was a horrible subclass to begin with it needed some sort of change. I do care more about the Marilith, as that's something along the lines of Scarab Lamias that I'm...

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Marilith Is Far More Bestial In 2025

Faces of Evil says that Demons (well specifically the Tanar'ri but probably the same applies to Obyriths and other types of Demons) can change their sex according to their will. Mostly left out in the details in later editions, except for bringing it up with Succubi (and now Incubi) even though...

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Marilith Is Far More Bestial In 2025

I don't how someone thinks of Cruxshadows with the Marilith, I wouldn't associate with their song Marilyn My Bitterness. If there's any song I'd associate more with the Marilith, it would probably be something like "Maha Kali" or "Dark Mother Divine" off of the Reinkaos album from Dissection.

D&D 5E (2024) Is Counterspell less frustrating now?

I think it's really annoying the 2014 version when you as a PC lose a spell slot. Some players might feel they're being punished by the DM who wants to neutralize all of the PC's spells. Especially seeing as how the 2024 Lich can cast Counterspell at will.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Marilith Is Far More Bestial In 2025

I think it's a problem that in the really old editions of D&D they used some of Moorcock's influence, but never completely got what Moorcock was trying to say the Law and Chaos, until the 3 alignments became the 9 alignments.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Marilith Is Far More Bestial In 2025

In D&D law has often been stasis, conformity and a lack of emotions, to the degree that the most lawful beings are like robots. While chaos is about change, emotions and individuality, even though some beings like the Slaad in D&D fall short of some of those things.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Marilith Is Far More Bestial In 2025

I don't like this version of the Marilith which looks closer to some versions of the Glabrezu. Anyways I'd say that Mariliths associated with Grazz't, Malacanthet and Pale Night would look closer to feminine humanoid types from before.

I'm fine with there being a bunch of them. I still want the Lilitu back.

D&D General Teased Lorwyn-Shadowmoor Supplement Crosses Magic: the Gathering and D&D

I guess we might find in a month or so, when there's some UA released about material from this setting. I predict probably a couple of new species, though some they're just going to go with existing D&D player options that best fit in. Could anyone anticipate if there's going to be new...

D&D General Teased Lorwyn-Shadowmoor Supplement Crosses Magic: the Gathering and D&D

I don't know about the species in that setting, but I guess it could be used to bring back certain PC options and creatures from older versions of D&D. I never cared for 4e's Wildren, as what I think is the only D&D plant PC option but it sounds like something from that setting might fit...

D&D General Teased Lorwyn-Shadowmoor Supplement Crosses Magic: the Gathering and D&D

I figure that most of Arcavios is unremarkable except for its school or those who are really into archaeology with all of those ruins. I get though that the ruins are definitely something that many parties of adventurers in D&D would certainly bother with.

D&D General Teased Lorwyn-Shadowmoor Supplement Crosses Magic: the Gathering and D&D

I definitely felt the Strixhaven was more of a D&D setting, as it felt like something you could easily put into the D&D multiverse without having to change around much about Arcavios. I feel it's a multiplanar location (like Sigil and the City of Brass) despite being on some world in the...

D&D 5E (2024) Quotes from the Monster Manual

Well if we use the Cockney Rhyming slang that Planescape often used for words such as "Berk" being "Berkely Hunt" which rhymes with something. Then the appropriate Cockney Rhyming slang would be "Brad Pitt"

D&D 5E (2024) Quotes from the Monster Manual

I suspected it did, for the Slaad entry I actually checked the Planes of Chaos boxed set, and saw that they completely pulled the quote from there.

D&D 5E (2024) Quotes from the Monster Manual

I think the American PG-13 rating allows the F word to be said once in a movie, no idea how often the S word is allowed.

D&D 5E (2024) Quotes from the Monster Manual

There's quite a few quotes in the new Monster Manual and this time more noteworthy than the ones in the 2014 MM. Some of them are characters like Iuz or Tasha/Iggwilv. One of them is Vi in the Blob of Annihilation entry using perhaps the first instance of a certain 4 letter word in 5e at...

D&D Movie/TV Netflix Planning Forgotten Realms D&D TV Show With Stranger Things Producer

I think it would very much be in the rated for Teens category, there'll be some violence with blood but nothing too gory, some "bad language" in a few places and "suggestive scenes" for sex but no outright nudity.
