2025 Monster Manual to Introduce Male Versions of Hags, Medusas, and Dryads

5e has shown female satyrs before the new MM, they've been around for a while.

2025 Monster Manual to Introduce Male Versions of Hags, Medusas, and Dryads

Forgot about Theros, but yes I was thinking of the "kills you by being naked" type.

2025 Monster Manual to Introduce Male Versions of Hags, Medusas, and Dryads

At the beginning of 5e they gave a reason why you wouldn't see the Nymph as a monster. But could the Nymph be brought back with some conceptual changes that go beyond just "there's also male Nymphs"

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Monster Manual (2025)

3e insisted that some Rakshasas had other types of animal heads, but it mostly just showed feline heads.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Monster Manual (2025)

Being Celestials wouldn't surprise me, as Animal Lords have been from the Upper Planes, specifically the Beastlands.

D&D 5E (2024) 2025 Monster Manual All You Need to Know video link is up.

I like the picture of all those Dragon Wyrmlings. Mimics disguising themselves as things other than chests is a good thing to show. I think you should be worried about Mimic toilet seats... And it looks like they're continuing with Githzerai that look exactly like Githyanki. I wonder if...

I know it'll be easier to find certain types of Devils as most won't be under "D" anymore, but as a PS fan I tend to think of them under their more formal names like "Gelugon", "Barbazu" or "Hamatula" instead of "Ice Devil", "Bearded Devil" or "Barbed Devil".

D&D 5E (2024) Goblins and Orcs Not Being Green

D&D has been specific about Blue Goblins being Psionic, they were effectively a sub-species in 3e. Not explained too much back then though. I guess it's likely that if a Goblin PC takes a level in a Psionic class, the feats Telekinetic or Telepathic, becomes a Soulknife Rogue, Aberrant Mind...

D&D 5E (2024) Goblins and Orcs Not Being Green

In 3e that Goblins were any colour but green, even though in everyone's mind Goblins are mostly green but with a wider variety of colours than Humans typically are. In 5e they stopped mentioning any particular colours for what a Goblin's skin might be. In the PHB I've noticed that they...

D&D 5E (2024) Ideas for Focus Specialization Feats

I thought a little of the different types of focuses for casters, including ones that casters don't currently get in the rules like Ritual Dagger/Athame and thought what if there's something special spellcasters could get if they decided to really focus on a type of focus. I feel it would be an...

D&D General Modrons invented Rune Magic?

I think Modron magic would be based more on mathematics and geometry.

    D&D 5E (2024) New Year Wishes For D&D in 2025?

I want the Monster Manual to be good, and have a bunch of additions and changes that are good. I want whichever book that'll have the revised Artificer in it to come out in 2025. I want the missing 2014 PHB subclasses and a bunch of subclasses from Xanathar or Tasha to be revised. Probably a...

D&D 5E (2024) "D&D Monster Manual 2025 is going to pack a serious punch thanks to a family of monsters descended from gods, and frankly I’m terrified"(Gamesradar)

4e Primordials were a concept similar to Titans of Greek myth, but they barely fleshed them out and only bothered to provide a list near the end of that editions lifetime. 5e titans would likely cover a bunch of the things in the 4e Epic Level Handbook, it's after all where the Atropal and...

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Monster Manual (2025)

One thing is that I'm curious what an Infantry Warrior is supposed to represent in terms of the type of soldier and CR (which I think should be 1/2 CR), I thought the Guard statblock was good enough for a typical soldier despite being named "Guard".

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Monster Manual (2025)

There aren't any statblocks, but things like Veteran Warrior and Infantry Warrior are in bold (therefore indicating they're in the MM) in the sample adventures and in the Greyhawk chapter.

D&D Releases Playtest for Updated Artificer

There's only ever being 4 subclasses of Artificer in 5e, though I always felt there was room for a Gothic Horror inspired subclass one that takes Jekyll and Hyde or Frankenstein (both the Doctor and his monster) as inspiration. I wondered if the Ravnican Izzet Guild needed something for their...

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Monster Manual (2025)

One thing I noticed reading the DMG is that some NPC monsters have Warrior added to their name, like "Veteran Warrior" and the new monster "Infantry Warrior"

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Monster Manual (2025)

I think it's good that they're mostly not trying to do metaplots anymore. We don't want pinkertons coming to people's houses for not implementing metaplots written in established campaign settings.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Monster Manual (2025)

The 5e setting is implied to be before Faction War, though the Mind's Eye which was formed from the merging of the Believers of the Sources and the Sign of One exists in the 5e book. On the other hand there's the fact that all of the Factols of the returning factions are still around, that Gifad...
