    D&D 5E (2024) Forgotten Realms subclasses discussion.

Depends on the party. If no one can capitalize on it, like a wizard casts fireball, with no advantage and no weapon attack to make, then it's going to be pretty meh. If you have 2 rogues a cleric running spirit guardians, then you can end a fight. You shouldn't be able to do that more than...

    D&D 5E (2024) Forgotten Realms subclasses discussion.

Still well short for a proper warlord, but seems like it may be the new Nova king. Bonus action + Action surge and your party all gets an to attack with advantage, on top of your 6-8 that turn. Potentially 13 attacks, including sneak attack, and the sorcerer (who took Shillelagh) can still do...

D&D 5E (2024) If D&D 2024 Had Been Radically Different, Would You Have Stuck With 5E

By your definition, if the changes where good to me, then it would be a better game for me, and I would of changed over. Probably after I finished my campaigns though. And really, the main changes i would make would be to choose one either ability scores or ability modifiers. And combine...

D&D 5E (2024) The value of Sap Mastery

Yes. As I mentioned. But that's even more to my point. You can Sap AND focus fire by changing the mastery to say... Graze for pure damage, or Topple if you have melee allies.

D&D 5E (2024) The value of Sap Mastery

You can swap weapons. Also, Sap is only one 1 handed weapons without the Light or Finesse properties. So grab a shield, walk up to the main target. Hit with Sap and then Slow to keep them nearby and protect others. Toss in Shield Master to help keep them down. Maybe Heavy Armor Master or...

D&D 5E (2024) Improving Medicine - one of the least loved skills.

Suggestion. When you or an ally expend hit dice durring a short rest, you can make a medicine check to attempt to aid their recovery. Roll a medicine check and get they following based on the result. <5, you botched it. Roll the hit dice twice and take the lower result. 6-10, No effect 11-15...

D&D 5E (2024) Which class is the most durable (level 1)?

Actually, since you now get spells at level 1, paladin would beat fighter. Fighter. 13 HP Second Wind: (1d10+1)*2 = 13 = 26 total HP (Optional +1 AC for defensive style) Paladin; 13 HP Cure Wounds: (2d8+3)*2 = 24 Lay on hand: +5 = 42 total HP

D&D 5E (2024) Which class is the most durable (level 1)?

Ok. So the most durable is the Sphynx of Wonder, who can be resurrected 10 times a day by it's patron. 😋

D&D 5E (2024) Which class is the most durable (level 1)?

Eventually. But you survive more turns than the fighter would. Sure. Depends on your definition. If it's "can take the most theoretical attacks" then chain wins with their familiar taking a lot of damage. If it's "survive the longest rounds" then chain also likely win. We could also say...

D&D 5E (2024) Which class is the most durable (level 1)?

If your not protecting allies, then you can just stay 100' away, behind a wall.

D&D 5E (2024) Which class is the most durable (level 1)?

So? Familiar doesn't require you to be awake. Also, only the fighter with Protection style can do anything about attacking allies.

D&D 5E (2024) Which class is the most durable (level 1)?

Requires level 2. But Pact of the Chain works better than you think. 13 AC and 24 HP, for 10GP and an action. You can easily get 120HP if you dumped money into incense. On top of Armor of Agathys. Not going to be a long term strategy, but there you go.

D&D General Does Cleric/Druid get 2x wis bonus to Arcana checks?

Add in rogue 7 to never roll below 23. Not sure why you need that, but there you go.

D&D General Does Cleric/Druid get 2x wis bonus to Arcana checks?

Right. "You may use" isn't a "bonus".

D&D General Does Cleric/Druid get 2x wis bonus to Arcana checks?

As far as I'm aware, only things that don't stack are Advantage, Proficiency bonus, and bonuses from identically named sources (Bless + Bless). Any other "bonus" stacks.

Shillelagh would be better for that. You can still use Str, but deals Force damage.
