    2006 ENnies Judge Voting Poll/Thread

I was hoping to have the results hidden to reduce strategic voting, but for whatever reason it didn't work. No biggie. Less suspense this way. Anyhow, last year, 545 ENWorlders cast their votes. I'm hoping to break 1,000 voters this year. Spread the world, y'all! Good luck to all of the...

Darn, I thought I'd replied- yes I did, thank you! Watched it, now am looking into someone to help edit it. I understand what you said about the limitations of the medium, but still think you did a brilliant job.

Having the Judge and/or Submissions Coordinator positions filled by Gen Con Indy is still something we're ironing out. It just seems a shame to me to have all those judges and all those publishers in the same place and not exchange some product. Especially since we seem to get a lot of...

Hiya Tim, and thanks for your comments! Good suggestion re. the judges listing their systems. I know judges in past years have been appreciative of you sending out the core rules. It goes a long way for someone who may not be conversant with your system, and I thank you for that. I posted...

That's right. Sorry, Frukathka. As per rule #5: 5. Judges may not have a professional relationship with any RPG publisher during the period of 2005-May 31 2006. This includes being involved in the publication of a product whether the product was a free one, a charitable one, or whether...

Good points I'm very interested in discussing any points with you, or any other publisher interested in participating in the planning process. Please continue to speak up! My ultimate goal is to have the judges selected in time for Gen Con Indy, so publishers can pass along product directly...

    Explain Canada

Canadia! One big difference in post-secondary education between the US and Canada is the number of alcohol-related deaths and injuries. Even though the drinking age in the US is higher, a culture of excess has built up around campuses, and many students' health and education suffer because of...

It is an early start, but hopefully one that will offer some stress reduction for the judges, and greater ease for the publishers- as a product gets released, it can be shipped out to reviewers and judges all at the same time! And they if they get the stuff out early, everyone gets to save on...

That is correct. Even though you don't get paid in cash, you do get paid in product, and have a duty to promote a publisher, hence have a professional relationship with a publisher. Of course, you're welcome to encourage WotC to either enter this year or (even better in my mind) act as sponsor.

    Categories and Submission Guidelines

Hi all! The Board, Staff and last year's Judges are thrashing about some ideas, and I thought that I'd ask for your input. Up first are the ever-contentious categories. What do you have to say about any of the following issues? I am tempted to make the Fan Site category a fans' choice one...

Judge Selection & Submission period begins shortly

Judge selection for the 2006 ENnies will begin very soon. We're still ironing out some details, but I hope that the polls will open October 1st for one week. We're opening up the judge selection earlier this year so that publishers have the option of shipping product directly to the judges as...

    Mind Flayer Campaign

That would be Paradigm Concepts- recent ENnie winners of the Fans' Choice for Best Publisher. You can pick up a copy here. Reviews: -4/5 by Psion -5/5 Cubone Yeah, I'm a tad prejudiced, having contributed some content, but seriously, it fleshes them out fairly decently.
