Well, every 2024 class is OP against 2014 classes. Maybe not moon Druids. But everyone else.
However, monk from being a consensus bottom tier class to a consensus top tier class.
For those arguing 2014 monk is fine, most players did not agree, and evidently, neither did WotC, since they...
...are awesome, but geek culture? They're too cool.
Like, above, someone cited Bowie. He would be top of my list of personal icons, cultural icons, and music icons, Mt. Rushmore for all three, but geek Rushmore?
Hmmm...nerds, only, huh?
Tolkien
Gibson
Lucas
Shelley
Edit: I really want to put Miyamoto on there but can't decide who to bump! Might have to be Gibson, but...I can't!
Edit 2: How can Gygax not be up there? This is too hard!
Edit 3: Okay, restricted myself to one per media:
Tolkien
Gygax...
I do think it's a testament to 5e's design balance that multi-classing works as well as it does - mixing and matching with other classes could be fraught with balance issues, but it's not, particularly.
Most of my players do not multiclass, but the ones who do generally do it for conceptual reasons that are tied to their character's story.
As a DM, I don't find multiclassing a problem, but none of my players are remotely power gamers, so it's not an issue in that regard.

On this topic, I always want to use the scarecrow in a Halloween themed adventure, but the MM version is just so wimpy. I need to get off my arse and homebrew something better.
I really enjoyed this film when I saw it in theatre, but in retrospect I have to admit that it hasn't really stuck with me. I still love the aesthetic and the casting, but can't put it in my top tier of MCU films.
I think the problem is Galactus. He's more of a force of nature than an...
This is exactly why I would like to see the DDB data on how often each skill is actually rolled. Every campaign is its own context, but I would love to see the broad trends. Based on this thread, it seems pretty obvious that Perception is king of the skills, but I would love to see, for example...
That's a good point. Sadly, the system doesn't support such scenarios very well. The paladin probably took intelligence as a dump stat, so even without proficiency the wizard is likely as good or better at religious lore.
Based on my games and the various actual plays I watch:
S-Tier.
Investigation (finding and solving)
Perception (noticing)
A-Tier.
Sleight of Hand (traps, locks, and occasionally even actual sleight of hand!)
Stealth
Insight (probably the most commonly rolled skill, but often not that...
We've been watching a lot of classic horror lately...and it is really dissapointing how few are on the four major streaming services that we have (D+, Prime, Netflix, HBO). Streaming just keeps getting worse - you are paying more for less. My spouse and I were musing the other day that our...
