D&D General Weave Your Tale in the Forgotten Realms With 8 Epic Subclasses (D&D Beyond Article)

True, but that doesn't mean you have to like it! In my games a cleric get's their power from a god and can loose it if they displease their good. I'm a bit old school in that way.

Level Up (A5E) Removing Pointless Death (+)

@Retreater , reading through this thread it seems the TPKs usually happen because a PC falls quickly than there the rest fall like dominoes. This mostly occurs at low levels. Is that accurate? If so, here are two simple fixes (you can use one or both): Start with more HP. Active death saves...

    GOD RULES: Player's Guide (5e) Previews/Discussion

I agree with you on the page borders - I find them distracting. The only issue I have with the graphic design I have mixed feelings on. I find the gold title bars hard to read, but I appreciate the homage to BECMI (at least that is what I think it is).

D&D General What Are Dragonlance's Weis & Hickman, and Actor Manganiello Cooking Up?

I don't understand the love for Arcane. Maybe I'm weird but the first season didn't hook and my son thought the 2nd season was worse so I just dropped it. What do you think is so great about Arcane?

D&D General What Are Dragonlance's Weis & Hickman, and Actor Manganiello Cooking Up?

Small sample size, but yes I have been happy with changes from book to screen and sometimes wish they had changed more (JP)

D&D General Why Enworld should liberate D&D from Hasbro

No that it matters - but I think you need to check those numbers again!

D&D General Why Enworld should liberate D&D from Hasbro

While I agree with the general sentiment, I disagree with the bold part. No one does exactly what I want, but that is the beauty of house rules and the beating heart of D&D IMO - make the game your own!

D&D General What are the boundaries of what counts as part ot Forgotten Realms?

IMO, the setting of FR is Toril. Anything on Toril is the assumed setting of FR. Anything outside Toril: Feywild, Shadowdark, elemental planes, great wheel, etc. is connected but not specifically part of FR. Those areas are part of the larger D&D setting.

D&D 5E (2024) Mike Mearls explains why your boss monsters die too easily

There are lots of ways to handle that, but if that is what your players want to do they will probably not be happy with the solutions. Though some may change there attitude - you never know. However, it seems to me that you need to find players that suite your style of play more than anything...

D&D General Why Enworld should liberate D&D from Hasbro

Probably no one thought it would last that long!

D&D 5E (2024) Mike Mearls explains why your boss monsters die too easily

Well the people in charge should care about profit most, I mean they are responsible for the lives of thousands of people (at WotC and/or Hasbro). If they do not care about profit that would be incredible inhumane and cruel. However, caring about profit most doesn't tell you much. If they care...

D&D 5E (2024) Mike Mearls explains why your boss monsters die too easily

The problem with that idea is WotC doesn't have a highest priority. A company is not a conscious living thing. There are many people that make up the company and I am sure that many of the people within WotC have different priorities. As such, WotC has many priorities and the highest of them is...

D&D 5E (2024) Mike Mearls explains why your boss monsters die too easily

Again, I think you are the only one saying that. There is a difference between pointing out reality and discussing the things thar are important in life. People are not suggesting that commercial success is the only thing matters. They are simply stating the reality that commercial success is...

    D&D 5E (2024) Tiamat Unleashed

OK, That is an older transitional stat block. It should have had a speed. I need to pull out my flash drives to look at older versions to see where I had the speed. I will try to do that tomorrow and get back to you.

    D&D 5E (2024) Tiamat Unleashed

I'm the OP and i explained the intent and what was in the Stat block of one version of the PDF; the version you are looking at must have the placeholder Stat blocks that are meant to be ignored and replaced in the next (and final) version. It is also possible I made a mistake in another version...

D&D 5E (2024) Mike Mearls explains why your boss monsters die too easily

No, they said nothing about good design. There argument is that there is not a strong reason to change course if what you are doing is successful. Success =/= good design
