D&D General More Details Revealed for Forgotten Realms Digital Expansions

There does seem to be a section about Returned Netheril...so the Shades being treated as 2024 NPCs seems likely.

D&D 5E (2024) Help Me Fill Out a Treasure Hoard

Oh, also, what resources can you draw on? Fizban's Treasury of Dragons has a lot of material that would fit this this to a T, bot Draconic items and dragon hoard special magic rules, and Book of Many Things has some fabulous potent magic items. The Dexk of Many Things itself would be pretty funny.

D&D 5E (2024) Help Me Fill Out a Treasure Hoard

Axe of the Dwarvish Lords is always fun. Who is the BBEG? What are the details of the Revolution brewing? Would Orbs of Dragonkind contribute to fueling the confluct? Who are your players characters? Are there any signature items that would turbocharged each one, like a Vorpal Halberd?

What are you reading in 2025?

Fair take all around. It is a very "Old School" Sci-Fi story. The novel had one of the more fun tie-in ephemera at the time of release, they actually made the Msth monk music:

D&D 5E (2024) Just Because a location is not on the Atlas of Faerun doesn't mean its gone.

OK, a little digging suggests that the formal answer ia that the Sea of Fallen Stars developed salinity in a similar manner to the Caspian Sea over millenia. Water flows in, but the only way it gets out is evaporation, so over time minerals build up.

What Non-D&D Would You Use For A Dungeon Focused Campaign

DCC is a weird Grey area, so I didn't mention it in either thread: it has d20 OGL DNA so it is not not D&D, but it also isn't really a D&D retroclone.

D&D 5E (2024) Just Because a location is not on the Atlas of Faerun doesn't mean its gone.

It was created by a meteor shower creating a well up of water from deep below. Hence Fallen Stars Thay is on a highly elevated plate, sl the way that looks on some prior maps may have given you thst impression visually. Edited to add Thaymount as depicted in 3E:

    Million Dollar TTRPG Kickstarter Club

OK, I had been wondering if the Dungeon Dudes new Daggerheart Kickstarter would a fourth entry on this list for them...but it looks like the will be lucky to top out at $600,000 for the Daggerheart version of Drakkenheim.

D&D Beyond Releases Free Forgotten Realms Adventure

Makes for a quick and dirty night of gaming, since each is enough to run a full one-shot on zero prep work. And again, the DMG has step by step guides on how to do prep work with the mini-Advebture as a seed to make something bespoke.

D&D Beyond Releases Free Forgotten Realms Adventure

The DMG mini-Advebtures are easy to run with no prep at all. The Encoutner math and maps are arguably the hard part, the other hooks arr easier to improvise.

D&D General Ed Greenwood and the SS Edmund Fitzgerald - A theory

I seriously doubt it, because yhe Moonshae Isles were not part of Greenwood's Forgotten Realms: they were grafted in from a cancelled TSR UK Settijg, and were created by Douglas Niles. Douglas Noles was from Southeastern Eisconsin, sonit is more likely named after Whitefish Bay n Lake Michigan...

What are you reading in 2025?

I am sure you are right, thank you. Well, I mean, he was a published author already and I am sure would have had a solid career...but delivering on Wheel of Time meant he inherited Jordan's fandom, to the extent that Stormlight Archives follows the same sales patterns held by Wheel of Time...

D&D General Is the SCAG Still Useful?

Because they were trying to negotiate representation for people from across multiple edutions: most FR players had not embraced the Spellplague, so no floating islands.

But then they would require more prep work, these are puck up and go.
