    Burger me!

Maybe, but it was enough of a thing that it made it into a Canadian movie, set in Toronto. I keep looking out for my favourite chips, that are only rarely released; ketchup Doritos.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

The whole song's performance exists on Youtube, not just the shortened version from the movie.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

The building itself hasn't changed, but the occupants have. CFNY occupied the space now housing T&T Restaurant, Nail Madness, and Dosa Corner. Spanky's had the three spaces right below that. https://maps.app.goo.gl/FGZWLTprc4ra6aEi9

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

You're not wrong, but most of the old standards have long since gone. In Toronto we lost maybe 3/4 of them, over the years. Lee's Palace, where Clash at Demonhead played in "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" still exists, but they lost the front entrance to a restaurant.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I don't know that's going to happen. Everything seems to be concentrated on the huge staged shows out of stadiums, these days. Back in the day you could see up-and-comers like Duran Duran at smaller venues like The Concert Hall, in Toronto. Maybe 1000 people, including the open floor. It's...

Geek Content: Jewel Staite does some some quick meal videos. Nothing fancy, but tastey stuff that you can make quickly.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

He used to play a little local club, called Spanky's, that was below an FM radio station (CFNY, which was the only Alternative radio station in the area at the time) about 5 miles from my house. Later, in the '80s, it changed its name to Stars. I was too young to get in and this particular...

    Burger me!

Don't look to deeply, for that way lies madness. Two words: savory Jell-O.

    New "Stargate" series announced

Not sure that you would like it. They have a nasty habit of having nominally Middle Eastern derived bad guys speak with English accents.

    Burger me!

At least the ketchup on ice cream thing mostly died a well deserved death back in the '70s. I can't remember what movie it was featured in as some sort of Canadian cultural thing, back then, but it was a "road movie." I thought it was "Goin' Down the Road" (the one that SCTV lampooned), but no.

    Ravenloft, the Movie

As it's a pocket dimension I suppose they could take a leaf out of the '70s book of SciFi; "The Fantastic Journey." Have modern day characters, as audience POV, then mix in other times and fantasy.

Spoilers Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - Season 3 Viewing (Spoilers)

I was wrong. They're still shooting and apparently doing some late nights.

    Ravenloft, the Movie

I think that in order to properly explain the universe that it takes place in, you'd need a series.

    New "Stargate" series announced

All 10 seasons are available on Pluto TV, free, if you can get that. I don't know if it's region locked.

    New "Stargate" series announced

In Canada the CTV SciFi Channel runs several episodes of Stargate: SG1 every weekday. I've lost count of the number of times that they've run through the entire series now. Occasionally they'll switch to Stargate: Atlantis, but it's been quite a while since they last did that. They were running...

    New "Stargate" series announced

"Stargate" was the code name of a real project undertaken by the CIA: remote viewing. It's all Russian nesting dolls. "Wormhole Extreme" was the fictionalization of "Stargate: SG1", which is a fictionalization of the Stargate programme by the CIA. I think my tinfoil hat has a leak.
