Burger me!

Here's one of my favorites burger sauces:
Feral Sauce (A riff on In-and-Out's Animal Style Sauce)
  • 1 white oninon
  • 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 2 tsp. + pinch kosher salt, divided
  • 2 tsp. + black pepper, divided
  • 2 Tbsp. + dash Worcestershire sauce, divided
  • 1 cup mayo
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp finely minced dill pickle
  • 2 Tbsp finely minced chives
  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  1. Caramelize onions in a pan over medium heat with butter, pinch of salt, pinch of black pepper, and dash of Worcestershire. Cook, stirring repeatedly, until browned, about 45 min. Remove onions and refrigerate for 15 min. to cool.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and store in a sealed container for up to 2 weeks in fridge.
When I'm bored and near my phone, I'll look at building science/construction, camping/survival/bushcraft or cooking videos. Eclectic bordering on strange, yes I'm aware, but what are you gonna do. The cooking videos need to be both entertaining and competent. I enjoy this guy (not just because he's Canadian) and Olivia Tiedemann for instance. The language in their videos isn't generally grandma-friendly, so follow those links at your peril.

Geek Content: Jewel Staite does some some quick meal videos. Nothing fancy, but tastey stuff that you can make quickly.
