Shawn Levy Provides Update on Netflix D&D Show

Yeah, it really is perfect for thisnpurpose: has identifiable lore and plenty of hooks, but no sacrosanct literary story or definite character arcs to bow down to. But, that means more work.

Wizards of the Coast Re-Registers Dark Sun With USPTO

Well, yes, but I would say that middle ground is a solid 320 page book like Ravnica (the unsung hero of 5E setting products, also an example of.jow to do divergent concept Settigns with D&D) or Eberron got.

Wizards of the Coast Re-Registers Dark Sun With USPTO

Wouldn't be shocked at all. In fact, if Dark Sun does eventually, next year is just going to be an in-style year for grimdsrl post-apocalyptic fantasy, with the Mistborn RPG also dropping.

What Bit Of Fan Fic/Edit/Theory Made a Thing Better or even GREAT For You?

Yup, the OG was inspired heavily by The Hidden Fortress, and Akira Kurosawa Samjrai movie about two peasants who traipize through the background of a high stakes Samjrai drama.

Importantly, he says that after Ed Harris addresses him as "sailor"...so that is pretty clearly the screenwriter lampshading the Bond connection. In fact, I saw a crazed conspiracy video once that connected Harris character to the incident where Connery Bond faked his death in Southeast Asia...
