    Maintaining your secret identity

I would get a full armor suit with closed visor (so no one sees my face) Then sign up as a Government Asset in return for protection of my family/loved ones. Then invoking Superman is a genius develop a whole slew of other identical suits with flight, strength enhancement and lazer eyes to...

When and where did you learn about Greek/roman and others mythology?

NZ is different due to the amount of foreign content, since there are no domestic quotas and too small a market to support a broad industry. NZ Content is 20-25% rarely going over 30 unless you count the joint NZ-Canadian productions. This contrast with Australia with its 50% local content and...

When and where did you learn about Greek/roman and others mythology?

Disney did shorts featuring Paul Bunyan, John Henry and Pecos Bill in the 1950's. Alongside their adaptions of Robin Hood, King Arthur and "Mickey and the Beanstalk". After thinking about it I think a lot of my early exposure to these tales may have been via Disney. Its interesting to see what...

When and where did you learn about Greek/roman and others mythology?

What about the tales of Brer Fox and Brer Rabbit stories of Uncle Remus? People tend to forget that they have an African origin via American slave culture. Ive also wondered how much American people hear about Loa and similar 'Voodoo' myth - which make an appearance in a few early zombie...

D&D General Alternate firearms rules (input needed)

I like the idea of goblins diving into cover, Jack Sparrow making a lucky duck and spin or Batman stalking through the shadows all being harder to hit by a wild bullet than the big brute or armoured knight who stands there and absorbs the blast. Dex bullet evasion works for me

When and where did you learn about Greek/roman and others mythology?

Earliest memories are Jason and the Argonauts, Clash of the Titans and the Colliers Junior Classics Legends of Long Ago. Mum was into Egyptology in the 70s so the names of Amun-Ra, Horus, Anubis were heard in our house and of course Fairytales are also Mythology - so from birth:)

    Madden teaser trailer

Yeah - The only thing most of us not Americans know about Madden is that its a series of games where you mash buttons and yell "how do I throw the ball?" Nic Cage doing a comedy based on the game could be fun

Honestly I always thought that was just the base American trope - clueless WASP, seems something of the SNL standard.* * note I am not a fan of that kind of American comedy

    D&D 3.x Facial illiteracy?

I suppose it is possible - like rl humans knowing that a dog showing its teeth isn't smiling at you :D but I expect there to be lots of standard misreads which would already be accounted for in skill checkscwhen interacting with different species

D&D General Alternate firearms rules (input needed)

I really like the direction you're going with this, it really does give firearms a distinctive feel in the game and if youre trying to emulate matchlock arquebuss/early flintlock blunderbuss as "one decisive shot per fight" shock and awe weapons then the reload on a short rest is great (its too...

Id put it on an easily rewatchable list, alongside Die Hard. So it is subjective and depends on if best is a measure of production quality or general enjoyability

    D&D 3.x Facial illiteracy?

in a fantasy world with multiple races having entirely different facial morphologies I'd assume facial illiteracy would be the default and already incorporated in the insight or persuasion rolls afterall how is a halfling suppose to read expressions of adragonborn, or a tabaxi who not only have...

    Best Christmas films

You cant be claiming jewish stereotypes when absolutely nothing in the text mentions jews. When Dickens uses Jewish chatacters, like Fagin, he makes that explicit. Scrooge is coded as British christian business man, the story only works because he is part of the Christmas-aligned culture that is...

    Best Christmas films

Moreover the Puritans would absolutely vilify a miser, while they promoted thrift Puritans were big on mutual aid and visible shows of piety, both things which Scrooges fails. If anything Ebenezer is a nominal anglican that Dickens is using to criticise hollow respectability and empty piety.

Where’s The Beastmaster Roleplaying Game? Part 1

Yes Im talking specifically of the movie inspiration being a "barbarian hero" clone, they even give Dar the "they destroyed my whole village" origin. I guess someone was wanting to cash in on the Barbarian trend od the time and remembered that obscure story about a warrior with a big cat, eagle...
