A cave of some kind certainly, maybe one with active vulcanism that could be the lair of a fiery red dragon. A frost lair might contrast nicely with that; snow drifts, fog, and thin ice could all be ready challenges.

PS; I love the synergy between the dragon and the swamp environment. Making my own environments is one area of DH I’m trying to get better at.

oops, lol. That’s very cool! As someone adapting a long running Planescape campaign to Daggerheart, seeing creative ways to port over D&D monsters is very appealing to me. And monster design was one of my favorite aspects of 4e. I’d love to see any other examples you’re willing to share!

@zakael19 , I think you were the one that said in another thread you were looking to convert 4e’s Monster Vault to Daggerheart. Is the dragon above one such example? What’s your methodology for doing the conversions?
