What other dragon lairs would you expect to see? Something cave-like probably?

A cave of some kind certainly, maybe one with active vulcanism that could be the lair of a fiery red dragon. A frost lair might contrast nicely with that; snow drifts, fog, and thin ice could all be ready challenges.
