I also now that the Advantages-rules got a big improvement in Arms of Fire. And also that the magic book (Winds of Magic?) improved spells/magic. So I get a feeling they are kind of needed? How is it compared to 5e? I would like to try it, but I'm afraid my players wouldn't like it that much, since they adore the high octane D&D combats, and crazy ass player high-magic abilities.

Don't get me wrong. I really like Kobold Press. Especially their monster books are amazing. But I have a hard time seeing why one would choose ToV over 5r - unless it's an active choice away from WotC. I think C7 has been wise by taking a more long-sighted approach.

Go to DM's guild and filter for Adventures in 3.5. There are many. Also as mentioned above, there is a shitton of PF1 APs you can use quite easily. The first three (or four?) APs are actually for 3.5 (before they moved to their PF1), and you can buy the 3.5 version PDFs on Paizo's site. Also...

Yeah, Reynolds has gone too far with this. Some of these buckles are the size of a house. But it does give PF2 it's own style, although I personally don't like it.

Exactly our experience with PF2. It seems they retained the tactical game play and balance of 4th edition but removed all the enjoyable elements. Similarly, they incorporated numerous options from 3.5 but stripped away the fun parts. PF2 offers so many choices that ultimately don’t seem to...
