I would say 90% of the UA stuff is published, usually with balance tweaks. It’s rare these days for a Subclass to hit UA and then not become official down the line.

If you want less magic, D&D likely isn’t the game for you. At least not the modern edition. It’s been trending towards higher magic since 3e.

This really isn’t the case in 2024. They walked back most of the changes to Spellcaster NPCs in the new Monster Manual, and now there’s plenty that still cast, including all the dragons now.

Welp, I got rejected. Said they had too many applicants fitting my profile. A real bummer, as I signed up for this initiative as soon as they announced it a few months ago. So to be excluded because I saw my email in the morning instead of last night feels bad, man.

Call it a hunch. But there’s likely to be something coming this week. Last year this time, they had the media announce their slate and dropped the Forgotten Realms UA same day. Wouldn’t surprise me if we saw an announcement and a UA sooner than later.

I have it. It’s a cool idea, but I wouldn’t call it a comprehensive update. They redid the monster stat-blocks, some in better ways than others, and that’s it as far as updates go from what I’ve seen.
