    Daggerheart General Thread [+]

In a couple weeks I am running a "Learn to play Daggerheart" session at a regional con. What do you think are the right classes to use for the pre-gens for ostensibly first time Daggerhearters? Daggerheartians?

Beadle & Grimm's Teases New Platinum Edition, Hinting at New Wizards-Produced D&D Campaign

I assume they are going to do something for it. But obviously this product is not whatever that is.

    D&D 5E (2024) Predict WotC's 2026 D&D releases

So with confirmation that Beadle & Grimm's new platinum edition is a new book from WotC, we can really get the speculation going. Does "pre-orders in June" say anything about release date? Do these platinum editions usually come out at the same time as the book from WotC, or is there a lag? If...

What is/are your most recent TTRPG purchase(s)?

Me too! I ran a first test session last week and the second is this week. Despite some Roll20 related hiccups, it went well so far.

Or it is a platinum edition of Strahd for the 10 year anniversary.

What is/are your most recent TTRPG purchase(s)?

I recently purchased Marvel Multiverse RPG and I like it. I am going to run it at an upcoming con.

What is/are your most recent TTRPG purchase(s)?

It is already ubiquitous in indie audiobooks. "Virtual voice."

What is/are your most recent TTRPG purchase(s)?

I feel like this is the inevitable future for the hobby, especially in the "indie" scene.

D&D General Dungeons of Drakkenheim Experiences?

For a adventure that gets tons of praise, made a bunch of money, and even has a Daggerheart conversion coming, no one seems to be running it...

What games do you consider narratively complex?

What videogames are you playing in 2026?

Yeah I just want a short, linear, easy (or easy mode) action game sometimes. Like just the first tier of Diablo 4 on infinite loop would be perfect.

What videogames are you playing in 2026?

I do not have a Switch. From what I hear about those games, though, is that they aren't especially short or simple. Is that correct?

What videogames are you playing in 2026?

I was feeling like I needed a "mindless" game tonight and was having a hard time picking a genre as I scrolled through Playstation Plus. Then I saw Medeivil and installed it. Yeah... that's the stuff. I need to find a more modern game like that: simple premise, uncomplicated action gameplay...

    D&D 5E (2024) No 5.5 AP Yet?

If the majority of fans have discovered the hobby in the last 5 years, then the majority of GMs also discovered the hobby in the last 5 years.

    D&D 5E (2024) No 5.5 AP Yet?

I would love to see them do it like this. Paizo has kind of gone that way with their low and high level APs that one could conceivably mix and match now that there is a library. In reality, WotC has enough starter sets at this point they could probably just start making 6-13th level campaign...

    D&D 5E (2024) No 5.5 AP Yet?

To be clear, I don't have an issue with campaign length adventures NOT being meant to pull apart, nor do I care if they are. What I find frustrating is the people that constantly defend the long adventures by claiming their are built for and intended to be used as toolkits. yes, experienced GM's...

    D&D 5E (2024) No 5.5 AP Yet?

I am of the opinion that if the product doesn't say or include something, it doesn't exist. Buyers cannot be expected to hunt down interviews and blog posts

D&D General Dungeons of Drakkenheim Experiences?

::casts raise thread:: Rather that start a new thread or bog down the excellent review thread, I figured I would necro this one. So, speaking of experiences: how much work is Drakkenheim to run? Is the book laid out well so you can find what you need? Does it require a lot of prep? I am...
