WotC D&D Beyond Reveals 'Partnered Content' Schedule

In their forums they've basically said they can't tool brand new classes.

WotC D&D Beyond Reveals 'Partnered Content' Schedule

Yeah, I struggle to come up with things that might solve the problem. Right now I only really have one realistic one which isn't very realistic - release PDFs so people can actually own the content they buy. The danger is also low given how many other RPGs are out there and the open licenses of...

WotC D&D Beyond Reveals 'Partnered Content' Schedule

Oh sure, they absolutely would. Imagine if you went to Steam and the top 10 games were always Valve games? How would publishers feel then? What if Valve said "we already sell Half Life 3 so we don't need more FPS games on here. We're going to only do the games we ourselves haven't done"...

WotC D&D Beyond Reveals 'Partnered Content' Schedule

Most of the WOTC staff who were at that Summit are gone, including the guy who gave the mighty yaulp when asking whether people would want their material on D&D Beyond (Dan Rawson). I still struggle with the question of whether releasing other publishers on D&D Beyond is good for the hobby or...

WotC D&D Beyond Reveals 'Partnered Content' Schedule

On the Reddit AMA they said to expect the same amount of partnered products in 2026 that they had in 2025. My understanding is that it's still a pretty manual process to integrate things into Beyond. Given the complexity of things like a character builder, I wouldn't expect any sort of open...

Dungeons & Dragons Playtests Four New Mystic-Themed Subclasses

How about a list of all the games nominated? I know its in the voting page I think but I'd love to have a copy. I want to know where my voted games showed up

Dungeons & Dragons Playtests Four New Mystic-Themed Subclasses

@Morrus or anyone. Is there a longer list of all the RPGs voted on with the number of votes?

Here Are 2026's Most Anticipated TTRPGs... As Voted By You!

Stephen and I chatted about it last night at PAGE3 in Philadelphia along with Professor Dungeon Master. I’m just a big dummy.

Crap. You’re right. Sorry. Roll for Combat — Stephen Glicker.

Here Are 2026's Most Anticipated TTRPGs... As Voted By You!

I don’t think so. It’s being published by Hit Point Press (I was wrong, it’s Roll for Combat)

    D&D 5E (2024) How I would do 6E.

Flavor! Add some pizzazz! Put a top hat and give that bag of hit points a cane and some tap shoes!

Kickstarter [Kobold Press] Night Hunters: Gothic Horror for TOV and 5E D&D - FINAL HOURS!

The canadian dollars threw me off but it's under $100 for both hardcover books with PDFs so that's pretty reasonable. The alternative would be not selling the cheaper non-PDF package =) $50 for a hardcover book with a PDF is a pretty good value these days.

    D&D 5E (2024) How I would do 6E.

I haven't read all the posts here and its not as though my opinion on it matters, but I'll offer it. I'd love to see a more "Basic" D&D. I'd love to see what D&D 5e was going to look like when D&D Next was underway and the game could be truly modular. I think Shadowdark is a great example of a...

D&D General Hope and Fear In D&D

I do this too. I'll narrate really bad "fail with fear" rolls when they roll very low or really good "succeed with hope". You could use close calls as fail with hope or succeed with fear. I don't think you have to systemize it too much. Five above or five under would do it.

D&D 5E (2014) What is your favorite encounter site or dungeon from an official module?

I used my Laser 128 to hack my local library and assign overdue books to my enemies! I read Neuromancer and it changed my life.

D&D 5E (2014) What is your favorite encounter site or dungeon from an official module?

Pool of Radiance was my first exposure to D&D. I bought the 2e PHB just to understand the math. It was also my first exposure to hex editing (and hexadecimal math in general) so I could give all my characters +5 longswords.

Other D&D Variant Best D&D Clone for open table play with beginners?

I’ve run and played in games at conventions with brand new players and Shadowdark is super easy to get into. It’s like a universal adapter for D&D. Brand new people can pick it up easily and it helps onboard them to full 5e if you go that way and people who know 5e find it really easy to pick up.

Let's Talk About Our Year In TTRPGs

I’m going to be doing a RPGs in 2025 review this Sunday on my talk show! Here are my notes! My 2025 Released City of Arches Released 22 City of Arches supplements on Patreon Released the 5e Artisanal Database Ran 110 games in 2025 (3x5e, D&D 2014, and Tales of the Valiant) Finished a 20 level...

D&D General A Rant: DMing is not hard.

I've been poking at this huge thread and only today, while waiting to get a filling put into my tooth, did I bother to read some of it – maybe three or four of the 33 pages. Anyway, some initial thoughts. We can offer GM advice without telling GM's that it's too hard. Instead, it's about...

D&D General How well does mixing 5es in one table work?

Everyone had different potion drinking rules, which was a big laugh for everyone really. Some could drink it as a bonus action (D&D 2024), some only as an action (D&D 2014), and some with a bonus action because of some ability they had (A5e). You used spells from your book so a fireball for the...
